Daily Cosmic Calendar for February 2nd

If you are a frequent reader of this calendar, then you know that every so often the cosmos settles down and refrains from blasting earthlings with solar, lunar and planetary discord. Today is one of those one-sided affairs where the potential for good outweighs the potential for its opposite. This is because the only two major celestial alignments are flowing trines of 120-degrees – the first one from the Moon in Gemini to Mercury in Aquarius (6:42AM PST) and the second one happening some 7+ hours later when the Moon forms the same rapport with the Sun in Aquarius (2:02PM PST). Be receptive to visions and insights coming from the great beyond. Think about your higher destiny on Spaceship Earth rather than your personal needs and desires. Literary and educational endeavors as well as cultural and global perspectives win the day over petty peeves and superficial interests. Catch up with email and overseas correspondence. Meanwhile, gear up for a big sea change happening for the planet ruling the oceans as Neptune prepares to enter Pisces for nearly 14 years tomorrow. This orb of dreams, spirituality, religious beliefs and the creative imagination is saying goodbye to Aquarius after a brilliant 14-year run in this third, universal air sign. Now it’s on to the last sign of the zodiac for a trip into unknown waters only Einstein, a double-fish Piscean himself, might perceive with his mystical and kaleidoscopic mind-set.

Daily Cosmic Calendar for February 1st

February 2012 definitely has some tricks up its sleeve. Therefore, be prepared for anything – especially as Mercury turns the tables on the red planet Mars via a dicey, 135-degree aspect (12:53AM PST). Seemingly smooth discussions can suddenly become spicy debates or raging arguments. Don’t let that happen on your watch. The lunar orb meandering through the end of earthy Taurus may also open some old, tearful wounds if you are not careful. Void Moon observers should note that a short 9-minute cycle occurs from 11:07AM PST to 11:16AM PST. Thereafter, the Moon lunges into eager, curious and flexible Gemini for the next 2+ days. Reading, writing, arts, crafts, and hobbies take center stage. Weather permitting, toss a Frisbee around, fly a kite or ride your bike through the neighborhood. Giving you a run for the money is a Venus-Mars polarity (3:42PM PST) – stretching from Pisces to Virgo. While some romantic sparks can certainly fly, this sky pattern can equally represent a dynamic, illuminating interchange between lovers, friends and almost any type of partners. Tap into emotional empowerment later on as the Sun forms an inspirational, 72-degree rapport with Juno (11:08PM PST). See the beauty and elegance of the universe all around you rather than complain about trivial pursuits.

Cosmic Calendar for Monday, January 30

For the most part – after several days of exhausting celestial shenanigans – you can now breathe a sigh of relief during the last two days of January. The first piece of good news comes in the form of the monthly Moon-Jupiter union in Taurus (3:30AM PST). Although this occurs officially early in the day, its influence can last for many hours. The power of positive thinking, good luck and auspicious vibrations are your bridge to worldly achievements. Some challenging situations may pop up to test your faith and resolve since the Moon squares Mercury (8:16AM PST), Mercury then makes a frictional, 45-degree tie to Venus (8:48AM PST) while the tension-creating First Quarter Sun-Moon Phase (energizing 11 degrees of Aquarius and Taurus) clocks in at 8:11PM PST. Moving too far too fast – particularly with an air of superiority (a la Jupiter on steroids) – will foil your higher plans. It is always wise to be humble instead of succumbing to the sin (hubris or pride) of mythological Icarus – whose wings melted because he flew to close to the Sun. Helping you stay more creative and artistic – in a deep and powerful manner – is an enlightening, 72-degree link from Venus to Pluto (6:50PM PST). Try to tweak the Taurus Moon tendency to be stubborn into the more admirable trait to be a Rock of Gibraltar when friends and loved ones need someone to lean on.

Cosmic Calendar for Sunday, January 29th

As mentioned at the end of yesterday’s calendar entry, after two days of up-in-the-air, wacky and wild cosmic behavior, the lunar orb provides a simple and straight-forward inspirational Moon-Jupiter parallel (12:23AM PST). Good fortune and optimism are back in your corner. A major shift concerns the asteroid Juno which is moving from the intense waters of Scorpio into fiery and enthusiastic Sagittarius (6:14AM PST). This is a boost for most primary partnerships as a vibration of goodwill enters the picture – particularly until Juno stops and begins a retrograde cycle in this same sign on March 24. You may also feel the urge to purchase new wardrobe items that are athletic and sporty in nature. Be more adventurous in your fashion and style interests. Reach out to nurture friends and relatives on the rocks as Mercury makes a supportive, 60-degree liaison with Ceres (9:13AM PST). Learn more about massage, shiatsu, acupuncture, acupressure, foot reflexology, herbal medicine and other, alternative healing techniques as Mercury forms a 30-degree tie with Chiron (1:18PM PST) while Venus ups the ante by making a parallel with Chiron (7:59PM PST). This latter aspect may also provide love birds with extra contentment and romantic interludes. Be aware that a short void lunar cycle arrives at 10:10PM PST and ends at 10:29PM PST when the Moon enters earthy, practical Taurus for the next 2+ days.

Cosmic Calendar for Saturday, Jan. 28th

If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. This is another one of those old proverbs that connects to today’s Moon in fiery Aries – along with tempestuous energy-fields associated with the Sun moving into a frictional, 135-degree connection to Mars (4:06AM PST) just prior to Venus forming an abrasive, 45-degree link to giant Jupiter (4:38AM PST) and Mercury squaring sometimes hazy and chaotic Neptune (7:01AM PST). While golden opportunities outweighed nebulous situations yesterday, today is kind of the reverse. In addition to the fuzz balls mentioned just above, we also have to contend with the likes of Mars in contra-parallel formation with Ceres (11:22AM PST), Mercury making a caustic, 45-degree tie to Vesta (7:55PM PST) and squaring Jupiter (8:09PM PST) while Jupiter is also in a perturbing, 45-degree tie to Vesta (8:56PM PST). Signing papers, making long-term commitments, and dealing with legal matters are completely taboo right now. The key to moving through today relatively unscathed is to be fast on your feet and to tap into intuitive flashes guiding you upward and onward – courtesy of a supportive, 60-degree rapport from Mercury in Aquarius to Uranus in Aries (10:27AM PST). New ideas in science, metaphysics and kindred fields can help you leapfrog over erstwhile competitors. Get back on target with high-tech and computer-oriented enterprises. Overnight inspirations have a good feel to them as the Moon parallels Jupiter (exactly at 12:23AM PST tomorrow). Energize the power of positive thinking as Saturday night morphs into Sunday morning.

New Moon Report for Jan 27th – Mercury in Aquarius

New Moon Report

by Jeff Jawer

Mercury in Aquarius

Friday, January 27, 10:12 am PST, 1:12 pm EST

Intelligence matters with clever Mercury in cerebral Aquarius. We can break out of our usual patterns of perception to understand the world from different angles. Cooler heads allow us to step out of the shadows of emotion and discover new concepts. However, friendly conversations may stimulate minds but could be less successful at touching hearts.

Cosmic Calendar For Friday, Jan. 27th

It was the great Al Jolson – of vaudeville, stage and early screen fame – who used to say: You ain’t seen nothing yet. That is a very good summation for the cosmic challenge going on during the next 48 hours as a deluge of aspects – many of which are on the discordant side of the astro-tracks – arrives in our neck of the universe. Here’s the short list of what is on tap today. The Moon remains void in Pisces until the lunar orb enters fiery, independent and forceful Aries at 10:29AM PST. Mercury squares time-keeper Saturn (1:22AM PST) and makes a supportive, 60-degree alliance with emotionally-empowering Juno (2:51AM PST). Mercury then enters the universal air sign of Aquarius at 10:13AM PST where it will stay until February 13. Meanwhile, Venus is parallel to nurturing Ceres (11:15AM PST), the Moon in Aries unites with revolutionary Uranus (1:40PM PST) and productivity-enhancer Ceres (3:41PM PST) while the Moon moves on to a parallel with recently reversed Mars (7:42PM PST) followed by a potentially fireworks-generating Venus-Mars contra-parallel (8:42PM PST), and the celestial seasonings conclude with a splendid, inspiring Venus-Vesta union in Pisces (9:07PM PST) that can be good for love and money matters. The discord today is coming from challenging aspects such as Mercury square Saturn, the Moon uniting with Uranus and forming a parallel to Mars. Venus-Mars in contra-parallel formation may be another hard-to-handle alignment. Emotions are somewhat frayed and you may need to earn your stripes when it comes to being crystal clear in financial discussions (due to Mercury at odds with Saturn). On the favorable front are pretty much the rest of the aspects and that can manifest as success and achievements across the board.

Wishing You A Wild and Wacky Wednesday, my friends!

Days Of The Week Comments Good afternoon, my luvs! The graphic expresses exactly what I have seen for two days. I hope the sun is shining, it is warm and a beautiful day, wherever you are. We are having a very unusual Winter. It has been in the 60’s and raining for 2 days now. After I sit and watch it rain, I sort of get wild and wacky, thus the greeting above. I guess I get ants in my pants. I have to do something whether it is right or wrong, lol! I have already planned on cooking supper which is on the wacky side of me. I hate to cook. I can cook now. Everyone tells me I am a gourmet chef. I just cook like my mother did and she was a country cook. It wasn’t unusual for daddy to go out and shoot a squirrel. He would bring it home. Momma would skin it and cut it up. Then she would cook squirrel and gravy or just simply fry it. I know some of you just curled up your nose, squirrel? It is good. It actually tastes like chicken. I know everything odd taste like chicken, squid, octopus, rattlesnake, etc. But I am not planning anything like that for supper. We are going to have some ribs. Oh, I miss ribs in the Winter. But I have been baking them and they are delicious. After that I am sure I will find something else to get into.

But enough with my menu and my wild and wackiness on rainy days. Let’s get on with what’s important.

 Have a fantastic day!

Spellcrafting for Wednesday, Jan. 25th

RELAXATION RITUAL

Lay or sit in a place where you will not be disturbed for at least five minutes.
Get comfortable. If you are sitting, your back should be straight.
Sitting or lying down, your legs should be crossed.
If sitting, rest your hands, palms down, in your lap. Close your eyes.
Visualize a golden ball of beautiful, warm light surrounding your feet.
If you cannot “see” the golden ball when you visualize it, its okay, just know it is there. The ball of golden warm light always brings peace and total relaxation. Wherever the ball goes tension departs.
Now allow this ball of light to rise up your legs and up your torso.
Then allow it to go down your arms to your fingers, and finally up your neck and into your head until covered with total peace and relaxation and all tension is gone. If you feel tension anywhere, send the ball there and the tension will vanish. Stay in this state for a few moments. If you are having trouble sleeping, try this.

Be at one with yourself. When you are ready to come out of this state of deep relaxation, take three deep breaths and feel fresh life and energy coming out of your body with each breath.

Doing the Best We Can

Doing the Best We Can
by Fran Hafey/Mysti

In a conversation the other day, I could hear bitterness and sadness
in the voice I was listening to.

Then I heard myself say very calmly “We all did the best we could at that time,”
and with that proceeded to share about my own experience.

When we remember the past, we have choices. We can hang on to those bitter memories
or we can let them go. It’s alright to remember and share them, even more than once.
It’s what we then choose to do with them that is important.

When I was about my oldest daughters age, she is almost 25, I lost all my childhood memories.
I only remembered the fear, the darkness, the pain, hurt and who had inflicted this on me.
It took me many years to let it all go.

Once I worked through it… I started receiving my memories back. Sometimes in dreams,
and sometimes I would just be doing something and a memory would pop in my mind.
I would share them with my family at times and I was so happy, that now,
I could remember what a great childhood I had.

I cried sometimes, when I remembered things. I let my emotions flow and released them.
I laughed, cried and shared.

I realized a wonderful thing. That the people in my life, in my past,
did the best they could with what they had. So profound and so true.

I have forgiven and I have put away things I no longer need. I remember the love
and the good times as well as the bad. They all made me who I am today.
I would not change a thing.

Now, I help others do the same.

I help them find those blocks and what is in the way of remembering the good
or the indifferent. I help them learn to let it go and grow from it.

Not everyone had a great childhood. Even the ones that tell you they had a lousy one
usually can find some good, when they look hard enough.
Helping our inner child remember and laugh again,
is worth more than gold. Much more.

I hope that you,… no I believe that you can find some of the good in your past
and remember that we all did the best we could
then, with what we had
and just look at what we can do
with what we have…now.

Sent with love and light,
