The moon’s sign is another traditional consideration. The Moon continuously “moves” through the zodiac, from Aries to Pisces. Each sign possesses its own significance.

Aries: Good for starting things, but lacks staying power. Things occur rapidly, but quickly pass. People tend to be argumentative and assertive.

Taurus: Things begun now last the longest, tend to increase in value, and become hard to alter. Brings out an appreciation for  beauty and sensory experience.

Gemini: Things begun now are easily changed by outside influence. Time for shortcuts, communication, games and fun.

Cancer: Stimulates emotional rapport between people. Pinpoints need, supports growth and nurturance. Tend to domestic concerns.

Leo: Draws emphasis to the self, to central ideas or institutions, away from connections with others and emotional needs. People tend to be melodramatic.

Virgo: Favors accomplishment of details and commands from higher up. Focus on health, hygiene, and daily schedules.

Libra: Favors cooperation, compromise, social activities, beautification of surroundings, balance, and partnership.

Scorpio: Increases awareness of psychic power. Precipitates psychic crises and ends connections thoroughly. People tend to brood and become secretive under this sign.

Sagittarius: Encourages flights of imagination and confidence. This is an adventurous, philosophical, and athletic Moon sign. Favors expansion and growth.

Capricorn:  Develops strong structure. Focus on traditions, responsibilities, and obligations. A good time to set boundaries and rules.

Aquarius: Rebellious energy. Time to break habits and make abrupt change. Personal freedom and individuality is the focus.

Pisces: The focus is on dreaming, nostalgia, intuition, and psychic impressions. A good time for spiritual or philanthropic activities.

The purpose of this spell is to find an answer to any question that has been weighing on your mind. To divine the future.

Materials:

A full moon.

Casting:

During a full moon, make a circle using the thumb and index finger of the hand you use for casting a circle. Center the full moon within the circle.

Chant:

“Good moon, Round moon
Full moon near:
Let the Future
Now Appear.”

Concentrate on the moon and ask a question. The answer will come.

Busy As A Bee Money Spell

BUSY AS A BEE MONEY SPELL

This spell should be performed on a waxing moon.

You will need:

Your business card or a piece of paper with your name printed clearly

A pen

Cotton wool

30 cm of red ribbon

A glass bottle

Honey

Visualize yourself happy and working and say:

“My life and accounts shall soon be in balance”

Draw a bee on the back of your business card or piece of paper, buzzing from flower to flower. Lay it on the cotton wool.

Roll into a cylinder, wrap it around with the ribbon saying:

“My life and accounts shall soon be in balance”

Place the scroll into the bottle, fill it with honey, replace the stopper, saying:

“My life and accounts shall soon be in balance”

Plant an oak tree and bury the bottle under it, or place the bottle into the freezer.

Every evening in the waxing moon water the tree, or turn the bottle clockwise repeating the above.

9. Never use your personal power for evil purposes or attacks. If someone attacks you, you can defend yourself by asking the Goddess for justice.

10. Magickal bindings can cost you dearly. Learn to banish negativity instead.

11. Know that thoughts are things; and what you create in thought may manifest in reality.

12. A Witch’s power grows in direct relation with his or her level of wisdom.

13. As long as you are acting in accordance with a positive belief system, don’t worry what others think of you and say about it.

14. Injuries, accidents, sickness, and poverty are often manifestations of low self-esteem or negative programming, not hexes.

15. Magick use should be viewed as sacred.

16. Witches may teach others about the Craft if the place is safe, the teacher is knowledgeable, the student is willing, and the information is available publicly or is not secret to the organisation to which he or she belongs.

17. Never do anything to disgrace the God, Goddess or the Craft.

On the night of the Full Moon, anoint a purple candle with vanilla oil. While anointing, raise energy and focus it into the candle. See it glow with magick. Light the candle and go outside or near a window where you can see the moon. Place the candle on the ground or windowsill. Reach your arms out to the moon and say:

“I ask for Your Power on this night,
By the Powers of the Stars above me,
So Mote It Be.”

Visualize your arms and hands soaking up the Powers of the Moon and into your body. Put out the candle and leave it on your altar overnight. The next morning, repeat the spell with this chant:

“Oh, dear Lord of Sky and Sea,
Lead Your Magick unto me,
By soil, wind, flame, and sea,
This is my will,
So Mote It Be.”

Soak up the Powers of the Sun. Go to your altar and light the purple candle from the night before and meditate on it until it burns out.

Magick is natural. Magick requires effort. You will only receive what you actually place into it. Magick is usually not instantaneous. Spells require time to be effective. Magick is divine act. Magick is knowledge – not only of its ways or laws, but also of its effectiveness. Don’t believe magick works, Know it does. Magick is Love. The moment anger, hate or jealousy enters your magick, you endanger yourself and those around you. Love yourself and others, always considering free will. For to take the free will of another away, is to control – and magick is about love, free will and freedom, not control.  Better yourself, bring good things to you, but consider the consequences before casting. Use the magickal energy that the universe is made up of for good. And be sure that it harms none – not even yourself!

Concentration is important in any endeavor, both magickal and in life.

Do what you will, so long as it harms none.

Empathy is an important life skill… learn it, practice it.

Find strength in yourself, your friends, your world and your actions.

God is multifaceted… the Lord and Lady, all deities take many names and faces.

Help others every chance you get.

Intelligence is something that cannot be judged on surface.

Judge not… what you send out comes back to you!

Karma loves to slap you in the face. Watch out for it.

Learning is something that should never stop happening!

Magick is a wonderful gift- but it is not everything.

Nature is precious. Appreciate and protect it.

Over the course of time your soul learns many lessons. Make this life count!

Pray.

Quietness both physically and mentally restores the soul; meditate often.

Remember to take time for yourself as well as others.

Spells can help you, but you must also help yourself!

Tools can only do so much… they are not the foundation of all.

Unless you enjoy worrying, keep a positive mindset!

Visualize the success of your goals before you set out to achieve them.

Wisdom can often be found in the least expected places!

Xenophobia (a hatred of those different from you) is a path to misery.
