What has traditionally been known as the Moon card refers to a deep state of sensitivity and imaginative impressionability, developed within a womb of deep relaxation. Here we dream and go into trance, have visions and receive insights, wash in and out with the psychic tides, and experience deep mystical and/or terrifying realities beyond our ordinary senses. The full moon and/or eclipse cycle charted by the Magi (as in some of the earliest Moon card images) exemplify this as a mechanism that Nature uses to expand consciousness.

The variants of the courtly lovers (representing skillful use of the sex force) or the man sleeping it off under the tree (use of drugs to alter consciousness) are also traditional avenues for tapping this primal force. Human interest in higher states propels us to the frontiers of consciousness, where we cannot always control what happens. The Moon card represents the ultimate test of a soul’s integrity, where the membrane between self and the Unknown is removed, and the drop of individuality reenters the Ocean of Being. What transpires next is between a soul and its Maker.

This is a good point in this calendar to remind you that solar, planetary alignments and celestial events that happen on one day don’t necessarily disappear the following day. Therefore, last night’s Neptune station and powerhouse at 1 degree of Pisces is still making waves throughout humanity. This Neptunian wave can equate with many of yesterday’s archetypes and themes still being played with great magnification.  Of course, today’s actual alignments are a top priority and this includes an early inspirational rapport coming from the Moon in Libra trine to Jupiter in Gemini (1:14AM PST) and a wonderful, enriching Moon-Venus union (6:14AM PST) that may be associated with a rise in loving sensitivity between dear ones.  This glowing sense that anything is possible and that favorable vibes are in control may be an illusion because the Moon parallels Saturn (11:54AM PST), Mercury makes an abrasive, 45-degree link to Venus (12:13PM PST), the Sun forms a feisty, 135-degree contact with revolutionary Uranus (4:22PM PST) while the Moon parallels Neptune (5:27PM PST). The Witches Magick for November 11: Self Empowerment Spell

SELF EMPOWERMENT SPELL

This is a fairly simple spell, and of course you should change it according to your tastes.

–1 white candle (probably the bigger the better)

The candle should be cleansed before you begin, and could be infused with white energy, the energy of love and strength. Meditate upon your intentions before you begin. why do you need to empower yourself? Is it because you wish to realize the beauty within yourself, or you wish others to see the beauty or strength you know that lies within you.

This spell also works best if you do a cleansing of yourself, whether it is bath or shower or just visualize all of the negativity that you are carrying with you washing away.

The candle should be placed in front of the mirror, and the mirror should face you. Light the candle. Feel the positive energy emanating from the candle.
If you worship a deity, call upon them to help you.
