FORMS OF ASTRAL PROJECTION
FORMS OF ASTRAL PROJECTION
Astral projection may be subdivided into three basic
types: mental projection, astral projection (proper) and
etheric projection. And your OOBE may shift between them.
Mental projection is really simple clairvoyance (‘remote
viewing’), and ‘traveling in your mind’. Imagination plays
a key role. The experience of mental projection is not
particularly vivid, and you will more likely be an observer
than a participant. Nevertheless, mental projection is an
important ‘way in’ to astral projection proper.
restricted to the realm of the earth (you could even go to
the moon and planets).
During mental projection and astral projection you
are able to travel through solid objects, but are not able
to act directly upon them or to move them (if they are in
the physical world). This is not true during etheric
projection. Whether it is simply subconscious expectation,
or whether it is a true etheric projection which in theory
means that part of your physical body has been relocated
with your projection (the etheric or vital part) may be
difficult to determine. Etheric projections generally travel
at or very near the physical world. There are even cases
reported (very, very rare ones) in which the entire physical
body is transferred to another location (teleportation), or
cases in which the physical body exists and acts in two
separate places at once (bilocation)!
But our primary interest is astral projection
proper, and mental projection to a lesser extent. Astral and
mental projection are not confined to the physical world.
Travel in the mental and astral realms is feasible, and
often preferred. Nor are astral and mental projection
ASTRAL PROJECTION
ASTRAL PROJECTION
Astral projection (OOBE, out of the body experience)
is a popular area of occult literature; for traveling to see
other worlds and places while the physical body sleeps or is
entranced is an exciting notion. Astral projection is not
dangerous. It is as safe as sleeping. Most dreams are probably
unconscious astral projections, anyway. Although there has
been quite a bit written on the subject, astral projection
is difficult for many people. The main difficulty is the
tendency to forget dream consciousness upon awakening.
Accordingly, the successful practice of astral projection
requires work.
Modern psychology discounts the idea of actual OOBE
(that the spirit temporarily vacates the physical body).
However, the idea is very ancient. The Tibetans have an
entire system of yoga (dream yoga) based upon astral
projection. And here we have an important assumption: you are
involved in an OOBE (at least to a degree) whenever you
dream. What sets it apart from a full OOBE is your hazy
consciousness during the experience and poor recall
afterwards. Many people forget most of their dreams
completely. Learning astral projection requires a kind of
inner mental clarity and alertness.
Dreams are a door to the subconscious which can be
used for psychological and spiritual insight, and sometimes
for precognition. Dream content is influenced by external
sounds and sensations. For example, a loud external noise
(such as a train) will likely appear in your dream (if it
doesn’t wake you up!). Dreams are also influenced by events
of the previous day, by your moods, and by suggestion.
Everyone normally dreams 4 or 5 times a night (about every 2
hours). The longest dreams occur in the morning. Everyone
dreams. You are more likely to remember the details of your
dream when you first wake up. By keeping a dream diary you
will improve dream recall. Have writing equipment or a tape
recorder at your bedside for this purpose; also a light
which isn’t too bright. Suggest to yourself several times
before you go to sleep, “I will awaken with the knowledge of
a dream.” Then when you do awaken, move quietly (sometimes
just turning over drives the idea away). Remember first,
then write the dream down, and then add as many details as
possible. The next day check for objective facts and expand
if you can (by remembering ‘what happened before that’). Once
you start remembering your dreams in this way, it will
become easier to do so. (If you are unsuccessful at this,
and *really* want to remember your dreams, you could
arrange for someone to sit by your bedside all night long
with a dim light on. Then when he sees your eyes moving back
and forth — rapid eye movements, a sign you are dreaming —
he can wake you and ask for a dream report.)

BASIC SKILLS FOR HEALING WITH YOUR HANDS
BASIC SKILLS FOR HEALING WITH YOUR HANDS
Anyone can learn to heal. You have to believe in you can and learn to connect to
Source.
You are like the ‘middle man’ who brings the healing from Source to the person.
Everyone has the ability to tap into ‘source’ and bring in energies of higher
vibration that heal and balance out the person’s Chi – Qi – life-force energies.
If the person you are with has overcome the emotional problems linked to the
ailment – you will be successful. This includes self-healing.
Ailments originate from many levels of our bodies – as we have seven sheath
bodies.
The physical level is where we experience the final manifestation of the ailment
because we live in third dimension.
For example – of the person has problems with a hand – they most likely do not
want to do something related to the use of that hand – usually the hand they
write with.
If you prefer to say a prayer or use ‘white light’ protection while you work –
please do so.
Some people ask their Source in the healing to be sure that the imbalanced
energies of the person do not come into your energy fields. You are there to
balance the person.
Basic skills for healing with your hands
You may prefer to wash your hands before and after the healing.
Find a place that is quiet to do your healing.
You can use soft music or no music.
The person you are working with should be a peace and feel comfortable that you
will do not harm to them – and WILL heal – or alleviate the problems.
DAY 1 – Connecting to Source
Let’s first determine which hand works best for you.
Hold both hands out in front of you – palms up.
Focus your attention on your left hand and experience the flow of energy coming
from your hand.
Next mentally focus on your right hand and see how strong the energy from that
hand feels.
One palm should feel stronger energy flow – hotter – more tingles – whatever
your body relates to!
Now place your hands – palms facing each other – just in front of you.
Keep them about 3 inches – 7.6 cm – apart.
Move your hands slowly – back and forth.
Feel the lines of energy between your palms.
Now slowly move your palms further away from each other.
See how far out you can go before you no longer feel the ‘pull’ of the energies.
When the energies stop – move your palms back and forth slightly in opposite
directions and you should continue to feel the energies.
If you had an aura camera it would record the lines of energy in photos.
Now let’s tap in to ‘source’!
Your mental frame of reference for Source could be – a white Light – a spirit
guide – a religious figure – healing master – your higher self – yourself as a
healer in another realm – the computer in the pyramid – a sea of consciousness
connecting all things – the grids – something external from our reality –
whatever.
Now connect with that source (Plug in)!
Allow that energy to come through you.
You may feel – hot – dizzy – exhilarated – other – depends on how out of balance
you are and how your physical vehicle (body) reacts to the energies!
Get used to that energy and balance your body’s flow of energy today.
DAY 2 – Healing another person with your hands
Once you understand and feel comfortable with the fact that you can heal with
your hands – try a healing on someone who has a simply ailment.
Be sure the person is comfortable with you.
Ask them about the problem and anything they wish to share about the onset of
the problem – including emotions related to that problem. Ex: I hate my job —
suddenly I fell down while on the job and hurt my back so I do not have to work!
Now don’t play shrink as that really pisses people off and you probably are not
qualified! Just Listen.
Don’t start getting into their issues – unless they want you too.
Keep the conversation brief and tell them to seek emotional help for their pain
perhaps with a professional.
There are many people out there with chemical imbalances who are finding out
about them at adult age – when tests should have been made in childhood! So who
knew in those years?
Have the person sit or lay down in a relaxed position.
You can use with music or just find a quiet place.
Sometimes healing in Nature works well!
Assure the person that you will do nothing to hurt him / her in any way or to
aggravate the situation.
Place your hand / hands within three inches from – or on the person in question.
You can close your eyes and see your connection to Source – or you can heal with
your eyes open.
If you have a specific symbol – word – or key – you would like to use – please
use it as it makes you feel comfortable.
Pause and allow the energies to begin to flow through your body.
This could take a few minutes . . .
Relax . . .
Breathe deeply if that helps you connect . . .
Ask spirit to protect and guide you and not allow any of the person’s imbalanced
energies to affect yours —
placing you in imbalance.
Next – do a ‘sweep’ of the body!
Open your eyes.
Keep hands about three inches from the person’s body – move your hands slowly
down the body – starting with the top of the head.
You are looking for changes in temperature levels, which is an indication of
improper flow of the Chi energies. If /when you feel this change tell the
person. They may say, “Oh yes, I have been having discomfort there, also.”
At the very least you are finding a problem.
Send that person a lot of healing energy by taping into Source and seeing it
entering their body in that place.
Send healing as is comfortable for both of you.
They may tell you they feel heat – or tingles.
Many healers like to send energy through the crown chakra and feel it moving
down through the person’s body.
We all find the way that works best for us.
There is no specific time frame for the healing. Do not look at the clock. There
should be no time constraints. The amount of time you spend with the person is
up to both of you!
If you receive mental image while healing someone – be discerning in what you
say.
It is usually best to say nothing.
DAY 3 – Working with Plants
Find a small plant – preferable one that has problems.
Place it on a table in front of you.
Place your hands in front of you, palms up.
Tap in to Source.
Feel the energies start to move through your body . . .
Feel the vibrations in the palms of your hands . . .
Place your hands on either side of the plant (about 3 inches away from the
plant).
Send energy back and forth between your palms.
Imagine the flow lines of positive energy between your hands.
Allow your mind to become one with the plant – connect energetically.
If you are telekinetic – the plant – or its leaves – may move slightly!
You may receive mental images from the plant.
‘See’ the plant healthy.
You may have to repeat this daily for several days.
DAY 4 – Healing Yourself
Sit down or lie down in a peaceful place . . .
Extend you palms upward . . .
Feel your connection to Source . . .
Feel the energies moving through the palms of your hands . . .
Relax . . . Breath deeply . . . Close your eyes . . .
Mentally connect with your physical body to see where there is pain . . .
Now place your hands on that area and send the healing energies.
If the pain is in your back. . You can send healing through the front of your
body and it will reach your back . . .
If you do not have pain . . . just place your hands on your heart chakra and
send energy of light and love. It will make you glow when you meet others today!
Pay attention to their reactions to you.
If your pain is emotional . . . placing your hand on your heart chakra will work
in the same way to help alleviate the pain.
Of course you can not erase emotional pain using your hands – but it can raise
your frequency and lift some of the depression. It can bring you some balance.
Does Spirit Go with Body? A Look at Reincarnation
Does Spirit Go with Body? A Look at Reincarnation
by Janice Van Cleve
Reincarnation is a subject that keeps coming back (ouch). Seriously, the topic of reincarnation keeps showing up in magazines and books cloaked in mystery or psychobabble. Among New Age and neo-pagan believers, there is often talk of “past lives,” working out karmic justice over a series of lives and transmigration of souls. Hindus hold that we reincarnate many times until we achieve enlightenment or perfection and thus are able to escape the wheel of life, death and rebirth. Rabbi Shagra Simmons says that Jews sometimes get three shots at terrestrial life. Tibetan monks search for babies born at the moment of their lama’s death in the belief that his soul migrated into the newborn. Resurrection of the body is such a strong tenet of Catholic orthodoxy that the Vatican for centuries preached against cremation, supposedly because ashes are harder to resurrect than rotten remains in a coffin.
Not everyone believes in reincarnation. Many people believe that death is the end, finis, kaput. They do not believe in any afterlife or return to life in any form. Others believe that the body may die but some kind of spiritual essence or “soul” lives on and goes someplace, like heaven or hell. Plato was a great proponent of the theory of “essences” that exist beyond or outside of the physical body. Christians and Muslims believe in a paradise where the souls go and don’t come back. Ancient Sumerians thought spirits descended into a pit where they ate dirt, and the Greeks held that souls crossed the River Styx to linger in a dim underworld. The idea of spirits dwelling in a Great Beyond is advantageous if you want call on them in prayers or séances. If, on the other hand, souls do come back in new bodies, who will be left on the invitation list to your next Dumb Supper?
Modern technology and psychology have pushed the envelope in our understanding of death and rebirth. For example, Elizabeth Kubler-Ross has documented some amazing cases of apparent conscious existence outside of the body and/or after the body’s clinical death. Cryogenics labs are experimenting with freezing bodies to resuscitate them later. Cloning is a bit different in that a new body is generated, but the jury is still out on whether any conscious memory is transferred along with the genetic material. While these are interesting avenues of research that may someday prove or disprove some mechanical aspect of reincarnation, they are generally understood to be outside the discussion of reincarnation per se.
So what’s inside the discussion? One way to look at reincarnation is to examine its parts. The “carn” refers to a body and the “re” is a something that returns into a body. That got me to wondering: which body? Is it only humans who reincarnate? Do dogs reincarnate into new dogs, or trees into new trees? What about cross-species reincarnation? Can a fern reincarnate into a frog or a cow into a liverwort? There are some dire warnings in the literature about “coming back as a toad,” but for the most part we see the focus on humans returning as new humans. (Certainly most cat lovers will agree that cats believe that they don’t participate in reincarnation because no other living being could aspire to their level.)
People as far back as the Stone Age have understood that the body decays after death. They may have held many theories about where the soft tissue went, but they could see that soon all they had left was bones. Eventually, as in the case of the dinosaurs, even the bones break down and are replaced by minerals leaching through the soil. Occasionally nature has delayed decay, as in the prehistoric bodies found in an glacier in the Italian Alps or in a bog in Denmark. Children sacrificed by the Incas on Andean peaks still have hair and skin preserved by the cold, while Egyptians first learned mummification from bodies buried and desiccated in the hot Saharan desert. Yet even the most carefully preserved remains of a Pharaoh in Cairo or a Lenin in Moscow would be reduced to molecules if exposed to the normal processes of decay.
Scientists exploring biology, chemistry, genetics, forensics and the like have shown that as things decay after death, they break down into simpler and simpler components, eventually reducing into basic compounds or molecules that can be used by other living organisms. Gardeners practice this principle by composting. Dead plants and other organic materials are stacked in bins where, over time, they reduce to rich soil and are plowed back into the garden to provide nutrients for new plants. So a dead tulip may break down in the compost bin and its molecules eventually become incorporated into a turnip. Not all of its molecules may end up in the turnip, however. Some of them may wind up in the carrots, and others may become potatoes. Certainly a large number of the former tulip molecules will stay as dirt and may even become incorporated into stone, if said gardener happens to have a volcano in her pea patch!
So at least some of the material that was the physical body of the tulip may find itself after death reincorporated into other physical bodies, and therefore the tulip continues to participate in the phenomenon called life. In a way, I suppose that can be called reincarnation — at least of body material. Perhaps when we refer to a dead relative “pushing up daisies,” we’re closer to the mark than we think.
But if the remains of living things decompose and are scattered to be used by many other living things, or not used at all, is the identity of the original plant or animal or human forever lost? When do tulip molecules cease to be tulip and become turnip? And what about the turnip? If it got some material from a tulip and other material from a spider, where does its unique identity as a turnip come from? This is where the “soul” or “essence” comes into the reincarnation picture.
There have been times even in the historical past when the birth rate of new babies worldwide did not match the death rate. So according to the theory of reincarnation, did some souls get put on hold for awhile in a spiritual wait zone until there were enough babies to go around? Or did they hang out in the turnips? Conversely, our current population explosion clearly demonstrates way more births than deaths. So does that mean that some babies are born with half-souls or no souls? There can’t be that many souls waiting in turnips to fill the current demands!
Buddhists may help us out here. Buddhists seek to skip the Hindu wheel of birth, death and reincarnation altogether through discipline and meditation. They believe that they can reach a point at which independent identity is no longer relevant. The “soul” loses itself by merging with a universal mass of spiritual energy called Nirvana, something analogous to the universal mass of living energy that scientists call biomass. For the sake of discussion, let’s call this “spiritmass.”
That solves the mathematical problem, because math in the spirit world may not add up the same as it does here in the mundane world. If there is spiritmass, then some babies could inherit old souls directly and some may get new ones from the reservoir of spiritmass. Whatever the case, nature and nurture inevitably work to individualize the baby’s identity, just like they individualize his or her body into a unique new person. Old souls are either absorbed into spiritmass or changed in their new incarnation and new souls are sprung from spiritmass. In either case, the old identity is lost. Tulip becomes turnip, and essence of Uncle Frank becomes Little Carol.
Which brings us back to the two parts of reincarnation. If the body and the spirit both disintegrate and become reabsorbed into biomass and spiritmass respectively, then one could say they were reincarnated. However, such a reabsorbtion automatically means that the unique personal identity of the dead being ceases to exist. Reincarnation therefore implies that individual identity is temporary.
Humans don’t like that. Humans would like to believe that their identities will live forever. Since the body could not be counted on, humans proposed underworlds and paradises to maintain some manner of unique identity after death. Not content with just a spiritual existence, some humans attempt to preserve their existence in the physical world with statues and monuments, trust funds, artistic creations or by making a name for themselves in history books. Ultimately, however, we do not live forever in body or spirit or stone. We do know that we live beyond our death — at least for a little while — in the hearts of those who loved us, and probably in the memories of those who hated us.
So I can buy reincarnation if the most that is meant by it is recycling the body and the spirit. I’m certainly not going to lose any sleep over what kind of identity, if any, I will have after I die. I just hope that if reincarnation does pass identity along that John Ashcroft comes back as a gay, homeless black woman.
Crystal Chakra Healing for Animals
It has recently been discussed whether animals have chakras. Yes, everything from ants upward on the evolutionary scale has seven chakras. This fact may be linked to the segmentation of the body (clearly seen in insects) and Hock’s genes (on human chromosome 12) which act as master switches, controlling the activity of genes and how they interact with each other. Very early in the development of the fetus, they help the identical cells formed during its early growth to differentiate and form the various segments of the body and later the specific organs, limbs, et, residing in each region of the adult body. As this process of development is essentially the same for almost all animals, it is logical to assume that animals’ energy systems are also fundamentally the same, developing along the same segmented path. Both experience and many others’ experience of healing domestic and farm animals bear this out.
Working with dogs over the years there has been found that crystals have very similar effects on them as on any human subject. You can apply crystal chakra healing to pets and livestock yourself, but you will need some understanding of your pets or you can simply dowse crystals with your pendulum. Attach the selected crystals to collars, place them in water bowls or beds, and put them in or tie them to cages.
However you choose to work with crystals learning to control the flow of life-force energy allows you to make positive alternations to your health and lifestyle. The Complete Guide to Crystal Chakra Healing is a handbook to health, containing many techniques for working with crystals on the chakras, aura, and meridians of the body’s energy system. You can use it to improve the quality of your life and your pets’, healing mind, body and spirit.
Lady A’s Spell Of The Day: RID OF NASTY ASTRAL SLIME
RID OF NASTY ASTRAL SLIME
After Chakra cleansings in the evening by the ocean or a large body of water like a river
or lake or pond. As the sun sets so your bad fortune will drain away.
Hold a stone or object that you find and feel is appropriate and project all the nasty slimy
and inky feeling you picked up from this person into it. Really focus on letting all your
emotions about it as well and let them flow into the rock. When you have done this say:
“I release this astral slime
And all darkness which is not mine
I let go of all that may have harmed
My aura is bright all negativity released
And I am charmed”
Now throw the rock into the water preferably as the sun drops below the horizon and
be conscious of its fading light taking away your bad feelings from this person.
You can do this spell on then first night of the waning moon (after a full moon) for
seven nights if you really feel tainted. Also Place 1/2 cup vinegar, a bunch of fresh
or rosemary and 1 tablespoon of sea salt in your bath. Light a white and a blue candle.
Imagine yourself surrounded by blue light, giving you positive energy.
Visualize all of the negative energy and astral slime leaving your body through every pore.
MAGICK — THE FOUR WORLDS
MAGICK — THE FOUR WORLDS
The ancients described man as mind, body, and soul.
Psychologists of the twentieth century added the
subconscious to that deffinition. This produces a four-fold
classification. The universe is also divided into four
corresponding parts (‘worlds’), as shown below:
WORLD BODY QUALITY
===== ==== =======
spiritual world spiritual body (soul or kia) intuition
mental world mental body (conscious mind) rational
thought
astral world astral body (subconscious) emotions
physical world physical body physical senses
The astral body (subconscious) is the intermediary
for intuition, magical and psychic phenomena, and is the
‘psychic link’ to the physical world. Most occult and
magical phenomena originate in the invisible, non-sensate,

non-physical realm (ie. without physical senses). Each of
the four worlds interacts with the other worlds. Psychic
energy flows from the spiritual to mental to astral to
physical. The physical world is a projection (manifestation,
reflection, or shadow) of the higher worlds. Our center of
consciousness is generally within these higher worlds.
“We are”, to quote the rock music group the Police, “spirits
in the material world”.
There are many similar terms used by other occult
groups. For example, ‘astral light’ is another name for
astral world, although it may sometimes also refer to the
entire non-physical realm, as may ‘inner planes’ or ‘the
invisible world’. Planes are essentially the same as worlds.
Vehicles or sheaths are the same as bodies. Some groups
include an etheric or vital body between physical and
astral: it is mostly ‘physical’ with a little of the
lower ‘astral’ besides. And sometimes astral and mental
are each divided into two parts (upper and lower). The
‘causal body’ is the upper ‘mental’.
BASIC PREPARATION FOR SCRYING
BASIC PREPARATION FOR SCRYING
The room should be as quiet as you can make it. If you live in an apartment or with someone else, some quiet instrumental music can be used to drown out any unwanted sounds. Don’t use music with lyrics, because at the least, the lyrics might influence your visions. At the most, they might prevent you from concentrating enough to see anything.
Make sure that you will not be disturbed, and figure out a comfortable way to sit either holding your scrying tool or with it resting before you on the floor or a table.
If you are scrying on a particular subject, you might get better results if you schedule your scrying time for when the Moon is aspected favorably to the corresponding planet. Visions are always stronger around the time of the full Moon.
