Good Thursday Morning, dear brothers & sisters!

Today, in Kentucky it is a glorious, sunshiny day. We haven’t seen the sun in so long I almost forgot what it looked liked. But when I look out the window, I stop to think about all of our brothers & sisters in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and all the other regions that are in devastation. It makes me feel guilty to have such a beautiful day here and yet they are hit by another storm. How much more can these poor people endure?

I remember in Kentucky, about 4 years ago, we had a severe ice storm here. We didn’t have any warning about it. We went to bed one night, got up the next and we were covered in ice. A crippling ice storm had hit our area, the ice was severe inches thick on the roads. If you were lucky enough to get on the roads, you would slide right back off of them. The trees were weighed down with ice. It sounded like shotguns going off when the branches broke. When a tree fell the earth literally shook. Our power was out for 14 days. To me it seemed like an eternity. Daylight was fine. I could manage it but when night fell, I felt like the whole world was closing in on me. I think what kept me sane was meditation and talking to the Goddess. I also didn’t sleep during the night. I kept a watch on the kerosene heater to make sure we stayed warm and didn’t die from the fumes. To this day, these fourteen days seem as fresh as yesterday. One day, we were living in modern comfort, the next we were forced back into the 1600’s. It was a traumatic experience probably one I will never ever forget. But we were much luckier than those individuals up-state. We had our home. We had a place we could feel safe in. We lost nothing except some power and of course some inconvenience. But nothing like those people up North. I have only lived through some of what they are going through. I know what kind of mark it left on me. I only hope and pray they come through this and rebuild better than before. Have a life full of much happiness and joy.

In case any of the storm victims are able to read this. I want you to know that we haven’t forgot about you. We keep you in our hearts and prayers daily. If there are any of you (you & your area) need anything, let me know. Simply write me a comment, tell me what you need and give me an address. The WOTC will help you as much as we can. I will also post it on the side board for our family to read. I know there are many that want to help. All you have to do is ask.

Please remember we have not forgot you. If we can’t be with you physically, we are with you spirituality. You will get through this and we will help you in anyway we can.

May the Goddess grant you strength, courage and most of all Her love,

Lady Of The Abyss

Hey Y’all! How Ya’ Doing This Super, Fine Saturday Morning!

Hello Images, Quotes, Comments, Graphics

Good morning, my sweets! How are y’all doing this fine Saturday morn? I hope fantastic. I apologize about yesterday. I had some business I had to take care of. Then I had a lot of yard work to get done. As you know it has been in the 100’s around here and you just don’t feel like doing yard work in that weather.

This morning, I am running late because it is Saturday. No, not because I was sleeping late like most people. But because in Kentucky on Saturdays’ is our bath day, lol! Oh, my Goddess, I can feel the hexes coming now! Seriously though, I don’t know how it is in your neck of the woods. I grew up with the old saying, “Saturday is bath day because we’re going to town, Yippee!” Seriously! I can remember us going to town once a week, maybe? And it was a treat to go to town. I remember my father and I going to Kresggee’s (I know that isn’t spelled right). But it was a local variety store, it also had a café section in it. Momma would go shopping and daddy and I would hit the counter at the café part. They had the best strawberry pies in town. We would get us a piece and then daddy would  order one to take home. Which always started a fight! Momma would get mad because she would ask daddy, “if her cooking wasn’t good enough for him?” When I was a child I didn’t think a thing about these days. Now that I have grown up, I miss my mother and father. But I have memories, good memories, that will last a lifetime.

Oh, back to the shower ready quick. I wanted to show you why it takes me so long to take a shower these days.

Yep, this is the reason, Razzy! She doesn’t realize she isn’t suppose to like water. And, everywhere her mother goes, she thinks she is suppose to go too. It is a fight, trying to shower and then having to keep pushing her out of the shower, gee wiz!  But I was snapping photos the other day and caught her doing what she does best, prowling!!! I thought I would show you how my little baby has grown. Little, really doesn’t apply to her anymore!

Anyway, enough with the small talk, I hope you have a fantastic weekend, my friends. Be safe as always and much love…..

This is one of my favorite Irish blessings 🙂

“May those who love us, love us;

and those who don’t love us, may

God turn their hearts; and if He

doesn’t turn their hearts, may he

turn their ankles so we’ll know

them by their limping.”

Have A Super Fabulous Thursday, dear friends!

Thursday, Thirsty Thursday Images, Pictures, Comments
Good day, dear ones! I hope everyone is having a fantastic day. I woke up this morning in foggy London, lol! I wish but not really. I am still in Kentucky but I have never seen such fog in my life. It is after lunchtime and it is still foggy. This is strange, strange weather we have been having. I listened to the News though and I believe everyone is having strange weather this year. Days like today make you look at the calendar and count the days to Spring. I know Kiki and I can’t wait for Spring to get here. We miss taking our walks down to the pond. Kiki might be a little Pom but if I don’t keep my eye on her, she jumps in the pond. Oh, brother!

One Summer, I got a fishing hair up my rump. There is a huge shade tree by the pond and I figured that would be a perfect spot for Kiki and I to fish. I gathered up all my fishing gear and off we went. You can sit at this pond and catch Blue-Gill after Blue-Gill. That year, none of them were big enough to keep. But this year, they might be a good eating size. Anyway back to the story, I would pull in a fish and Kiki would get all excited. She would pounce on the poor fish, growl at it, snarl and just act down right vicious, lol! I didn’t think anything about it. I threw my line back in and got a bite. This was a good bite. So I jerked my pole and the next thing I knew, Kiki was in the pond after my line. I like to, well you know. She was in the pond swimming out to the line. I dropped the rod and started hollering and going in after her. She turned around and starting swimming back, chasing my line. I grabbed the rod before the fish drug it in the pond. I fish with two hooks on my line. On the first line, I had a medium size catfish. I pulled it up on the bank. Kiki came flying out of the pond and stepped on the second hook. I like to have died. She holler and yelped and was wild as a jacka**. I threw the fish back in the pond and I tried to calm Kiki down were I could cut the fishing line. She wouldn’t hold still to save me. So I was smoking, I decided to burn the line off the rod. It worked. I took off running from the pond to the house to get the hook out of her paw. We got to the house, she was almost hysterical. Hubby heard her screaming, he came running. Well I caught heck from him because she had a hook in her paw. Kiki is his baby! I thought I was going to have to slap him, he was almost hysterical too. He sat down in the kitchen and I got the pliers and started to cut the pointy end off the hook. Thank the Goddess, it was just barely through her padded paw. I had no problem getting it out. When it was finally out, hubby and Kiki loved and loved. He kept telling her, I was a bad Momma because I caused her to get a hook in her paw. Yeah, right! I can ask her now, if she wants to go fishing and she jumps up and down. I really don’t think the experience traumatized her too much, lol!

Have a great day and dream of the warm days of Spring that are just a month and 21 days away!

Luv & Hugs,

Lady A

Today’s Visualization for Thursday, January 26th

Releasing Negativity

Close your eyes and focus your attention on the breath. As you in hale visualize yourself drawing pure white light in through your nostrils until it fills your being. As you exhale visualize all your negative thoughts and painful emotions passing out of your nostrils in a muddy stream. Maintain this visualization as you continue breathing.
