Your Dark Stars Horoscopes for the Month of June

Your Dark Stars Horoscopes for the Month of June

Jane Lyle, Astrologer

ARIES(March 21st-April 20th)

June’s a hard-working, potentially productive Aries month, especially on the home front. Your dynamic ruler, Mars, is in stubborn Cancer the Crab – and you’re not in the mood to give in easily. Any ongoing stresses and strains at home, or in your relationships, are likely to peak around mid-month, when many of us here on Earth will be feeling quite spiky. It’s a very sensitive phase all round. But if you bear that in mind you’ll (hopefully) avoid falling out with those who matter to you. Do assess any ambitious plans with care, and aim to balance out these rocky times with some light-hearted socialising whenever you can. There’s creative fun and success if you’re publicising a project, or want to enhance your image and profile in some way. Mars in Leo from 1st July – 18th August brings out your fiery summer best, so please don’t tie yourself in knots if things seem sticky this month. A thoughtful approach serves you well until then.

TAURUS (April 21st-May 21st)

Early June brings glimmering inspiration, coincidences, and interesting news. Some of that news links with other countries, or far-away people and places. Invitations, ideas, or even a job offer see you mulling over travel plans – the universe drops big clues about this around the time of the new Moon on 3rd June. Your magnetic ruler, Venus, travels in media chatterbox Gemini from 9th June – 3rd July, bringing a focus on how you communicate your values and desires – plus your connections with people who share your views. Your desire to go shopping is enhanced too. Splashing out to impress others is, of course, unwise at any time, but do keep an especially sharp eye on your spending between 22nd-24th. The chances of disappointment, scams, and online fraud are high around those dates. You’d be better off seeing a beautiful movie, going to a gig, or watching a magic show. You’ll see how illusions and deception have a bewitching face when channelled through entertainment or art. Sharing those experiences with friends lifts you up, and helps you see things in new ways. And, if you’re seeking a special someone, friendship could lead to love.

GEMINI (May 22nd-June 21st)

Gemini season skips along with the Sun in Gemini until 21st June, Venus in Gemini from the 9th, and your very own new Moon in Gemini on 3rd June. Lively times indeed! Your supple mind and quick wit come in handy too, for many of those around you are struggling with serious challenges, turbulent relationships, or stubborn opposition. You can help them see things from an alternative point of view – or at least encourage them to explore other possibilities. Much comes to a head around the full Moon on 17th June, when someone close lets off steam. Expect discussions about money around that time too – particularly if you share a financial commitment or have joint savings of some sort. Being super-cautious with cash is wise now – this is no time for grand gestures or gambling. A whisper of midsummer magic twinkles for you between 21st-24th when your imagination takes flight, and you’re irresistible to others. Making time for the mysterious sparks a little joyful sorcery in your life at that time.

CANCER (June 22nd-July 23rd)

Warrior Mars in Cancer heats up your psyche all month long. You’re keen to challenge close associates or partners, while they in turn seem determined to challenge your views – particularly mid-month. So do think things through, and take the long view (or a martial arts class) if you possibly can. Once the Sun enters Cancer at the Solstice (21st June) you can pick up the pieces and think about celebrating your own personal zodiac year ahead. Late June brings inventive ideas and unusual people your way. So spending time with groups of friends feels good. Doing something just a little outside your comfort zone could be amazing – maybe something as simple as listening to music you don’t normally favour, or, you know, colouring your hair lilac. Whatever, creating surprises for yourself is one way to open up those magical inner portals. And once they’re open, all manner of inspiration can flow freely. Many of you are already feeling the approach of a significant solar eclipse in Cancer on 2nd July – staying curious, flexible, and grounded helps you swim through those lunar seas ahead.

LEO (July 24th-August 23rd)

June is a curious mixture. You’ve warmth, fun and laughter, with some fortunate – even romantic – meetings and conversations, particularly around 7th – 11th June. At the same time, you more than welcome some quiet moments, and recharging your inner solar power is also a top priority. Many of you have concerns about someone close, yet don’t have all the information you need to make any clear progress or decisions. Or you may feel held back, or even blocked, by individuals who are supposed to be allies but seem to be working against your interests. A very powerful solar eclipse on 2nd July should shake things up or reveal fresh facets of a complex situation. Sensitive souls are already feeling its approach. You can also look forward to the uplifting arrival of energetic Mars in Leo on 1st July. Mars operates well in Leo, and heats up your summer prospects until 18th August. Play it by ear this June, for very little is final, and there’s much for all of us to rethink or reassess this summer.

VIRGO (August 24th-September 23rd)

Your solar horoscope is all lit up this June, with relationships, family, home, and career vying for your meticulous attention. A major planet pattern between expansive Jupiter and dreamy Neptune spells inspiration plus confusion – your hunches and your love life could be spot on, lead you up the garden path, or see you running away with the circus. What’s said in the days around both the Gemini new Moon on 3rd June, and the full Moon in Sagittarius on 17th June is interesting, and could be pivotal. And keep an eye out for lucky opportunities and suggestions too – what links you with education, travel, inventions or spiritual quests could see you thinking about a brand new path in life later on this year. Keeping your natural-born practicality in shape is a challenge, but it helps you sort out what’s pure gold from all those seductive possibilities whirling around in your mind. If you’ve tasks to complete here’s a heads up – Mercury, your ruling planet, is retrograde in July, making July a great time to reconsider things, but not a brilliant time to begin anything new. Get going now, or wait until late summer.

LIBRA (September 24th-October 23rd)

Tantalising news or unexpected meetings bring excitement early in June. But don’t stress if nothing much seems to develop straight away. You may have to wait until August or September to see pleasing results, particularly when it comes to money, funding, or shared financial projects. Your lovely ruler, Venus, enters Gemini on 9th May, brightening up your social life. This is a sparkly phase for communications and travel, a good time to plan a short trip, a course of study, or write your novel. Venus links with generous Jupiter all around the Solstice (21st June), favouring friendship, love, and a sense of humour. Cherish those frothy bits – you do have some deeply serious themes going on this year involving your family, ancestors, and your own past history. Any challenges or changes may feel tough, yet in the longer term you’ll see how these are part of a much bigger pattern. Devoting some quiet thought to what’s going on serves you well, as does a determination to make the very most of all the warmth and light that’s also around you.

SCORPIO (October 24th-November 22nd)

Fresh thoughts on money and what really matters to you are bubbling up in your mind. So if you’d like to make changes, both the new Moon on 3rd June and the full Moon on 18th June signal opportunities for a rethink – both for yourself, and how you deal with what you share with other people. You’ve much restless creative or romantic energy this month, courtesy of Mars, your traditional ruler, in seawater Cancer. Yet how you channel that energy also benefits from new strategies. Do you think that staying stuck in old patterns might be holding you back? Perhaps you need to look at a love relationship in a different way? Perhaps you’d benefit from exploring or studying something new? Between 9th – 20th June Mars challenges Pluto (your other astrological ruler), and Saturn, signalling a time when suppressed tensions or hidden things surface in your life, and all around you. You may have to let go of something, or back off if you’ve been trying to control a situation. You’ll see how this benefits you by September, so take things slowly and remember to be extra kind to yourself, and others.

SAGITTARIUS (November 23rd-December 21st)

Your optimistic ruler, Jupiter, backtracks through Sagittarius until 11th August. So it’s a helpful time to review your plans and dreams, and fine-tune them if you need to. Partners, longstanding friends, and allies all bring a fresh eye to any dilemmas you’re wrestling with. And with both Sun and Venus in Gemini this month it’s a great opportunity to ask them for opinions and support. A chatty Gemini new Moon on 3rd June starts the ball rolling, while your own full Moon on 17th June offers another moment when you can clear out what’s not working, or release unhelpful emotions. This whole phase also focuses on your wellbeing – what can you do to feel good about yourself? Minor planet Ceres is in your sign, emphasising themes of nourishment and a renewed interest in the natural world around you. You could become much more concerned with nature, restart abandoned exercise regimes, or simply enjoy a mindful daily walk. Just try not to get too frustrated if things seem slow, we have a summer slow-down (like last year) and must work with the prevailing cosmic weather.

CAPRICORN (December 22nd-January 20th)

Co-operation with others is vital now. For this isn’t a great time for going it alone, or trying to impose your views on everyone else. People play a pivotal role in your life this year – past connections are especially fascinating. Others may offer you a wonderful opportunity to finally deal with some unfinished business, or help to heal some lurking pain and disappointment. Expect some dynamic conversations, or even conflicts that shake up the status quo and clear the atmosphere – particularly mid-month. Your ruler, Saturn, is reversing through Capricorn until September, slowing progress yet eventually helping you build strong foundations. This June Saturn partners with that idealistic hippie, Neptune, bringing a message of practical dreams, and shifting perspectives into your life. Under these cosmic skies inspiration blooms when you visit beautiful, ancient places or take a walk beside the sea. Music and movies also feed your mind, so do welcome any chance to connect with Neptune’s magical realms. You’re usually sensible enough to avoid getting swept away in a cloud of delusion. Simply keep an open mind, and maybe a dream diary too.

AQUARIUS (January 21st-February 19th)

Gemini energy revitalises creativity and flirty fun in June. Beginning a new project around the time of the new Moon on 3rd June could be just the start. Do look out for lucky little boosts to your love life or self-confidence around 9th-11th, and again on 22nd –24th when taking a short trip, or getting together with friends, works out very well. Friends and contacts abroad could also have interesting things to say this month. And all the while Uranus, your eccentric ruling planet, is moving along through practical Taurus. This raises sometimes-surprising questions about security, finances, or even your ancestors or personal DNA. Relax, you’re in a long phase of change and development that January Aquarians may feel more than most right now. Meanwhile, your traditional ruler, Saturn, is busy underlining your responsibilities and values. As a result, some of you are attracted by a more spiritual way of life, while others focus on ways of blending ideals and ambitions to achieve something worthwhile. You’re usually great at seeing the bigger picture, so why not keep exploring? Unusual answers await you in the months ahead.

PISCES (February 20th-March 20th)

Your ability to read others’ moods is very powerful this month. So much so that limiting the time you spend with negative people would be wise. You could find yourself drained by them, and lacking energy for your own loved ones and personal life. A link between your two astrological rulers – Jupiter and Neptune – is highlighting your amazing intuition and sensitivity. So you can figure out all manner of things, and enjoy some remarkable hunches. Just remember to check things out with great care, for you’re way more open than usual. This can be hugely positive too, for you attract people who value your work and ideas. They can boost your chances this June, or suggest new possibilities. Again, caution is wise – especially around 7th-10th and 22nd – 24th when it could be hard for you to say what you mean, or others could mislead you in love, at work, or financially. Mars in Cancer offers you some sexy and dynamic energy in June. There’s much pleasure and progress, just pay close attention to current planetary terms and conditions and you’ll thrive.

To get the most out of this transit and to connect with yourself and others on a much deeper soul level, work with malachite. This beautiful and powerful crystal will surface sometimes painful emotions and beliefs. This is not so that we can relive this pain, but so that we can heal them. This is not the time to act or make any drastic life decisions, this is the time to be strong and reflect. To help you stay grounded and centered, work with obsidian. This stone is formed from molten lava—it understands that pain and destruction lead to wisdom and fortification. Obsidian clears lingering emotional and psychic debris. and is wonderful support when dealing with destructive behavior and any low vibration emotions like anger and fear. To capitalize on this steamy energy, work with ruby. Ruby stimulates all forms of love, especially the healthy expression of physical love. It also infuses you with physical energy, helping you overcome tiredness or a weak libido. If you have programmed judgments about sex and sensuality, ruby will bring these issues to the surface. Allow yourself to receive the healing and amplifying the energy of physical pleasure.

SAGITTARIUS

SHUNGITE

Shungite purifies you, boosts your energy, and combats insomnia, so you are better adjusted to different time zones.

CAPRICORN

SELENITE

Dear Capricorn, during the sun and Neptune square on June 9, you may be questioning your motivation and direction. It is okay to feel confused about a career, a relationship, or even just a general path you’re taking in life. In fact, it is good to be in this fog, because when you come out of it you will understand if it’s a direction you want to keep going or if you want to shift gears. To help attain clarity, work with selenite. Selenite encourages internal and external harmony, and it brings to the surface that which does not resonate with you so you can decide if you need to let that thing go. Selenite brings a clear, healing light that will help you find your way through the fog of confusion.

AQUARIUS

HERKIMER DIAMOND

Dear Aquarius, your psychic sense will be heightened during the Mercury and Neptune trine on June 16. This is a wonderful time to communicate energetically, meditate, and surround a friend with supportive frequencies, send your sick family member healing light, or send your romantic partner sensual energy. To enhance your psychic senses, work with Herkimer diamond—a much more affordable variation than the famed white diamond. This stone helps you tune in to the energy of others, opening a channel for your psychic senses, you may know or feel what someone is thinking before they say anything. It will help you with any method of psychic development and calls down divine light.

PISCES

TIGER’S EYE

Dear Pisces, your innate creativity will draw others to you during the Mars and Neptune trine on June 14. Form a community of like-minded people, exchange ideas, get the creative juices flowing, and create some magic. Work with tiger’s eye to help focus a group effort toward one unifying goal. Tiger’s eye also encourages one to experiment, to do things unconventionally, to challenge the status to quo to create something completely new and original. It promotes harmony between different people, with different points of view and fosters a productive and collaborative environment. It also strengthens your personal power, so if someone doesn’t agree with you, you welcome the conversation and don’t take it personally.

Your Daily Cosmic Calendar for Monday, June 10th

This is a good point in the Cosmic Calendar to remind you that major sky cycles on one day don’t just disappear 24 hours later. Instead, they remain potent and influential in a subliminal manner rather than front and center on your main conscious radar screen. Therefore, Sunday’s triple dose of celestial discontent is still rippling through the undercurrents of humanity’s collective awareness.

Now, add on an off-kilter, 150-degree aspect between the sun in Gemini and Saturn in Capricorn (2:05 a.m.), a 12 hour void lunar cycle in Virgo that starts at 5:02 a.m. and lasts until the moon enters airy Libra (5:30 p.m.), and the annual solar opposition to Jupiter in Sagittarius (8:29 a.m.). Trying to push your personal agenda under these un-heavenly circumstances is a no-no. Mercury squaring problem-solver Pallas (7:22 p.m.) is another reason to turn within for guidance instead of trying to put your stamp on the world. Fortunately, the moon in Libra trine to Venus in Gemini (9:56 p.m.) is a step in the right direction, particularly useful for improving the quality of key relationships.

[Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Daylight Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.]

Mars Trine Neptune 14 June 2019

Mars trine Neptune natal makes you suave, sexy, creative, and passionate about fighting for worthy causes. You have the ability to effectively motivate people without being forceful or bossy. This ability to attract a following stems from your non-threatening approach, magnetic attractiveness and spiritual courage.

Your passionate drive and creativity are ideal for a career in music or acting and any of the physical arts. Dance, singing, and sculpture would allow you to fully express your excellent sense of rhythm and smooth style.

There is a strong tendency with this aspect to fight for the underdog, so political or social activism would appeal to you. This spiritual and moral urge to serve in a selfless manner makes you a very charitable and caring individual. There would be a natural inclination to become involved in large groups with shared spiritual or altruistic goals.

Your faith is strong but you may not necessarily be religious. Less structured and more new age forms of spiritual belief and practice would suit you, anything from astrology to vegetarianism.

Although you have a strong fighting spirit, physical aggression would be distasteful to you. But you would not back down if you, a loved one or even your cause was to be threatened. You are more likely to win any spiritual or psychic battles through acts of kindness.

A steamy sensuality makes you highly attractive and you should have no trouble attracting genuine partners. Like you, they should be honest and genuinely compassionate people. There is a certain mystique or ethereal nature to your sexuality that can make you very popular.

Mars Trine Neptune Transit

Mars trine Neptune transit stimulates your sensuality, creativity and community spirit. You will enjoy a strong magnetic attractiveness and sultry charm which makes this an ideal time for passionate romances. Sexual encounters would be strongly compassionate, tender and spiritual in nature. If dating, then you are likely to attract a less aggressive, more spiritually inclined partner.

Though not a high energy transit, you should be motivated to express your creativity and a good sense of rhythm through dance, music, sculpture and other physical creative outlets. You may also feel a strong urge to engage in religious or more spiritual activities particularly involving groups of people. This would be a good time to learn more about how astrology affects your life and the world in general. You are more in touch with the subtle vibrational energies that influence our lives.

This is not aggressive energy but you can draw on strong spiritual courage and a fighting spirit to defend yourself and loved ones. You can win battles now but more through acts of kindness than attacking others. You should feel a motivation to stand up for the underdog and downtrodden of the world. This is an excellent transit to become actively involved in charitable or human rights causes and groups. Your desire to save people and animals or the environment is based on strong moral and ethical convictions.

Solar Lore

Once, the Sun and his sister, the Moon, lived together in a wigwam in the east. The Sun dressed himself to go hunting and took his bow and arrows and left. He was absent such a long time that when his sister came out into the sky to look for her brother, she became alarmed. She traveled twenty days looking for the Sun. Finally he returned, bringing with him a bear which he had shot.

The Sun’s sister still comes up into the sky and travels for twenty days. Then she dies, and for four days nothing is seen of her. At the end of that time, however, she returns to life and travels twenty days more.

Jupiter reaches opposition and peak visibility this week. The giant planet shines brightest, looms largest, and remains visible throughout these short nights.
Monday, June 10
Brilliant Jupiter reaches opposition and peak visibility tonight. It rises in the southeast at sunset and climbs highest in the south around 1 a.m. local daylight time. Shining at magnitude –2.6, the giant planet is the night’s brightest celestial object with the exception of the waxing gibbous Moon and Venus, which doesn’t rise until morning twilight is well underway. Jupiter resides among the background stars of southern Ophiuchus the Serpent-bearer. When viewed through a telescope, the gas giant’s disk spans 46″ and shows incredible detail in its cloud tops. You’ll also see the planet’s four bright moons. Io, Europa, and Ganymede line up in that order east of Jupiter while Callisto is the lone moon west of the planet.

Tuesday, June 11
Look high in the northwest after darkness falls this week and you’ll be greeted by the familiar sight of the Big Dipper. You can use the dipper — the sky’s most conspicuous asterism, a recognizable pattern of stars that doesn’t form a complete constellation shape — to find two of the spring sky’s brightest stars. If you follow the curve of the handle to the south, you’ll easily spot Arcturus. This magnitude 0.0 star, which belongs to Boötes the Herdsman, lies some 30° from the end of the Big Dipper’s handle. It is the fourth-brightest star in the whole sky and the second- brightest visible from mid-northern latitudes. And if you continue the curve another 30° past Arcturus, you’ll arrive at magnitude 1.0 Spica, the luminary of Virgo the Maiden. An easy way to remember the two is with the phrase: “Follow the arc to Arcturus, then drive a spike to Spica.”

Jupiter’s moons put on a show tonight, as both Io and Ganymede cross the planet’s disk. With the gas giant just a day past opposition, however, the shadow that each satellite casts falls onto the jovian cloud tops almost directly beneath the moon. Io’s transit begins at 10:22 p.m. EDT. Within five minutes, you should notice its shadow immediately to the moon’s east, with the two overlapping. Ganymede lies north of Io and begins to transit at 11:28 p.m. Its shadow falls on the cloud tops just southeast of the moon. Because Ganymede lies farther from Jupiter than Io, its shadow appears slightly more separated from the moon. Io completes its transit at 12:33 a.m., when Ganymede is about halfway across the giant planet’s disk. The outer moon completes its trek around 1:40 a.m.

Wednesday, June 12
Once you use the Big Dipper to find Arcturus, you’re well on the way to locating the 9th-magnitude asteroid 2 Pallas. From Arcturus, move 6.4° west-northwest to 5th-magnitude 6 Boötis, then another 2.4° northwest to 6th-magnitude 2 Boo. Tonight, Pallas lies 3.0° west-northwest of 2 Boo and right next to a 9th-magnitude field star. If you watch these two for a couple of hours, you’ll notice Pallas shifting position, confirming its identity as a solar system member.

Thursday, June 13
For people who live near 35° north latitude, today marks the earliest sunrise of the year. Although the Northern Hemisphere’s longest day doesn’t occur until Earth’s summer solstice June 21, earliest sunrise happens several days before and latest sunset several days after. The specific dates depend on your latitude, however. In general, earliest sunrise occurs closer to the solstice the farther north you live.

Friday, June 14
Grab your binoculars tonight and target the bright star Regulus in the constellation Leo the Lion. Many people know that this object represents the Lion’s heart, but few realize it also is a binocular double. Regulus B, which glows at 8th magnitude, shows up as a pinpoint nearly 3′ from the 1st-magnitude primary. The pair stands about 20° high in the west once darkness falls.

Saturday, June 15
Although Saturn won’t reach opposition and peak visibility until next month, observers will be hard-pressed to see its current appearance as inferior. The ringed planet rises around 10 p.m. local daylight time and appears highest in the south around 3 a.m. Saturn shines at magnitude 0.2 and stands out against the background stars of northern Sagittarius. If you target the beautiful world through a telescope, you’ll see its 18″-diameter disk surrounded by a ring system that spans 41″ and tilts 24° to our line of sight.

Sunday, June 16
Full Moon officially arrives at 4:31 a.m. EDT tomorrow morning, but it looks completely illuminated all night. It appears low in the southeast as the Sun sets and climbs highest in the south around 1 a.m. local daylight time. The Full Moon resides among the background stars of southeastern Ophiuchus, though residents in western North America will see it slide into western Sagittarius by daybreak. You can expect a lot of people to ask what that bright object sitting next to the Moon is. Brilliant Jupiter lies just 5° from the Moon after sundown and a couple of degrees farther away by daybreak.

Current Moon Phase for Monday, June 10th

First Quarter
Illumination: 53%

The Moon today is in a First Quarter phase. This phase occurs roughly 7 days after the New Moon when the earth is one quarter of the way through its orbit around the earth. Exactly half the moon will be illuminated and half dark. On the day of the First Quarter phase the moon is high overhead at sunset and is visible until mid-night when it sets in the west. The First Quarter phase is a one day event and in the following days enters a Waxing Gibbous phase becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon.

**********
About The First Quarter Moon Phase

The first quarter moon is actually the third phase of the moon each cycle. In the Northern Hemisphere during this phase, the right hand 50% of the moon is visible during the afternoon and the early part of the night. In the Southern Hemisphere the left hand 50% of the moon can be seen. This lunar phase follows the new moon and the waxing crescent.

A lunar phase is the appearance of an illuminated portion of the moon as seen by an observer. For this article the observer is always on Earth. The lunar phases vary in a definite cycle as the moon orbits the Earth. The phases change based on the changing relative positions of the Earth, moon, and Sun. Half of the moon’s surface is always illuminated by the Sun, but the portion of the illuminated hemisphere that is visible to an observer can vary from 100%(full moon) to 0%(new moon). The only exception is during a lunar eclipse. The boundary between the light and dark portions of the moon is called the terminator.

There are 8 moon phases. These phases are: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter moon, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter moon, and waning crescent. The phases progress in the same manner each month. Earlier, it was mentioned that the lunar phase depends on the position of the Earth, moon, and Sun. During the new moon the Earth and Sun are on the opposite side of the moon. During the full moon the Earth and Sun are on the same sides of the Moon. The occasions when the Earth, Sun, and moon are in a straight line(new and full moon) are called syzygies.

When the moon passes between Earth and the Sun during a new moon, you might think that its shadow would cause a solar eclipse. On the other hand, you might think that during a full moon the Earth’s shadow would cause a lunar eclipse. The plane of the moon’s orbit around the Earth is tilted by about five degrees compared to the plane of Earth’s orbit around the Sun(called the ecliptic plane). This tilt prevents monthly eclipses. An eclipse can only occur when the moon is either new or full, but it also has to be positioned near the intersection of the Earth’s orbital plane about the Sun and the Moon’s orbit plane about the Earth, so there are between four and seven eclipses in a calendar year.

The first quarter moon is only one of eight lunar phases. You should research them all for a better understanding of the Earth/Moon system.

Monday’s Witchery

Think for a moment on all of the witchery, magick and enchantments that you have discovered. Don’t be afraid to adjust spells to suit your own specific needs. Any gentle, illusory, and dreamy charms and spells can be enhanced when you work on the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon. Mondays are a fantastic day to boost your psychic abilities and to tune in to your intuition and empathy. It also gives you the opportunity to work with a different lunar phase each and every Monday, which means in one month you could work four different types of moon magicks on Mondays. How’s that for adding to your repertoire? You are going to have mad skills in no time at all.

So light up those lunar scented candles and add a little mystique to your outfit by wearing an enchanting lunar color. Wear your sparkling silver jewelry and maybe add a pair of dangling silver earrings or a pendant shaped like a crescent moon. Create lunar potions and philters; make a dream catcher and give it as a gift to someone you love. Burn some sandalwood or jasmine-scented incense today to inspire the glamour and magick of the moon. Slice up a favorite variety of fruit that is in season for a snack or share it with your love and enjoy his or her lunar and romantic qualities. Brew up a cup of chamomile tea, enchant it with a little moon magick, and relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Most importantly, get outside tonight and watch the moon for a while. What phase is she in? What color was the moon as she rose? Why not start a journal and write down at what location the moon rises and sets for a few seasons? This is a great way to teach you to tune in and to become more aware of the moon and the influence that she pulls into our lives. Try calling on Selene for her magickal assistance, and call Thoth for wisdom and strength. Get to know the Norse Mani and the Latvian Meness. These gods of the moon have plenty to teach, and if you allow their influence to cycle through your life, you’ll receive many blessings. Be imaginative, and create your own personal lunar magick and witchery. Go on….the moonlight becomes you.

MONEY RITUAL FOR PROSPERITY IN LIFE

This isn’t some “get-rich-quick” spell.

You will need:
Green candle

Bay Leaves

Plain white piece of paper

I usually have some other candles around and sometimes will also use some of the essential oils that I know draw in money. Think of the amount of money that is needed, not what is wanted. Asking for a million dollars is absolutely ridiculous to say the least. Write down the amount that you know you need to help you achieve your goals (paying bills, paying for college, camp fees, whatever) on the plain, white piece of paper. Fold the paper in half three times.

After getting a connection with your goddess, light your green candle. Use your own incantation to ask the
Goddess for her help and guidance to find the money that you need. Place the paper under the candle. Now close your eyes and see money coming to you. Don’t think of how it comes, just see it come. See it appear in your hand or maybe imagine it flying around you like in those money booth games and see yourself snatching it out of the air. While doing this, I burn a bay leaf in the candles flame. Inhale the fragrance emitted by the bay leaf. If you have money-drawing oils, then a few drops on the sides of the candle can be placed as you give thanks to the Goddess for listening to you.

Close as you feel appropriate. Leave it all set up when you finish if you are able and repeat. Start it on the new moon and repeat several times until the full moon. At this point, burn the paper and spread it’s ashes to the wind.

Your Spirit Message of the Day for June 10th – Summon Strength for Change

THE PHOENIX
“The Phoenix appears as your Ally to celebrate your journey and to ensure your ultimate success. This is true even if it appears that you’ve just passed through a metaphorical experience of death or are currently enduring a perception of failure in your life. Death and rebirth are related when you enter the realm of the Phoenix. Seen in this light, nothing truly dies, but rather changes from one ending directly into new beginnings. The Phoenix is constantly reinventing itself and rises up whole and new and even more powerful with every death it experiences. This could signal an end of a relationship – or of a dynamic within one – or an end of a job, a project, or even a life.”

“Perhaps no failure is involved, but it’s time for a complete overhaul of your circumstances. You may be tired of what you’re doing, or you may know intuitively that it’s time to move on and try something new. Whatever the case, a death of the old and a celebration of new life are called for! Whatever you do now will indeed be a successful endeavor, for a rebirth is imminent!”

AS A CHALLENGER
“When the Phoenix challenges you,, it’s really just a gentle reminder to let go and let what doesn’t work fall away. Maybe you’re not allowing things to change because you’re more comfortable with the familiar, even if you know it’s not the best you could create for yourself. Fear of change is a crippling experience, as it works against Nature itself.”

MESSAGE FOR YOU
“The task at hand is to allow for an ending, as it’s timely and right that you do so for the highest good of all. In surrendering to the fundamental purposeful change, you will most definitely find yourself in better circumstances. The action needed is allowing. A rebirth is assured.” Summon strength and courage and embrace inevitable change.

Today’s message is from Wisdom of the Hidden Realms by Colette Baron-Reid.

Healing Bath

Healing Bath

By: Scott Cunningham

Take a lit silver or white candle, some salt (preferably sea salt), and a healing oil (such as carnation, violet, sandalwood, or narcissus) into the bathroom. By the candle’s light run a tub of very warm water. Cast some salt into it, add a few drops of healing oil, and then step into the tub. Relax. Feel the warm salted water sinking into your pores, through your skin, sterilizing the sick portions of your body. Visualize the sickness as black worms, cells etc, as leaving your body and entering the water. When you feel the water is teaming with them, pull the plug and let the water drain out. While it is draining, chant:

“The sickness is flowing out of me,
Into the water, down to the sea.”

Wait until the tub is completely drained before you stand up. Then take a shower to remove the last vestiges of the disease of the sickness-laden water. Repeat as needed to speed your bodies recovery.

Two Goodies for Your Chakras

Two Goodies for Your Chakras

Chakra Meditation

You can do this meditation either standing or lying down, however it is important to not cross your legs or arms since this will close your energy loop.

Center yourself. Hold your right hand a few inches above your Root Chakra. Focus on this spot and hold this focus for a moment. Picture energy coming down from the Universe and flowing through your hand, into the chakra.

Each time you inhale, feel more energy being drawn into the chakra. When you feel a comfy warmness in this area, move onto the next chakra and keep doing so until you have charged all of your chakras.

This exercise is very helpful for when you are feeling out of balance. It also helps during times of physical illness. YOU SHOULD STILL SEE A DOCTOR IF YOUR CONDITION IS SERIOUS. This is not a substitute for a doctor’s care, it is an aid to help strengthen the healing process.

If you wish, you can hold crystals/stones in your hands while doing this or place the appropriate stone on the appropriate chakra. The corresponding stones are:

Red Jasper–Root Chakra
Carnelian–Sexual Chakra
Tiger’s Eye–Solar Plexus Chakra
Aventurine–Heart Chakra
Sodalite–Throat Chakra
Lapis Lazuli–Third Eye Chakra
Amethyst–Crown Chakra

=====================

Balancing And Clarifying Your Chakras

Here are some chakra color treatments to put you back in balance.

For the following, visualize each specific color penetrating and cleansing that chakra. This is a good way to balance yourself in the morning before getting up and starting your day.

Root Chakra:
A very bright shade of red.

Sexual Chakra:
A clear shade of orange.

Solar Plexus Chakra:
A bright and sunny yellow.

Heart Chakra:
You can visualize a bright green or a bright pink. Both are seen as the color of this chakra.

Throat Chakra:
A light shade of blue.

Third Eye Chakra:
A transparent indigo.

Crown Chakra:
Violet or white are both seen as the color of this chakra.

Sweeping Spells and Lore

SWEEPING SPELLS AND LORE

If you feel your life is in chaos, take a look around at your front porch and front walkway. If the front walk is cluttered with leaves and dirt, then sweep your walkway and front porch clean with your magickal broom and envision thatyour life is in order and that all that comes to your will be clean and cleared.

When you move from one house to another, it’s always good to change your workaday broom. Either burn your old one, or make sure that it is buried with honor. Always bring a new broom into the new house, but sweep some dirt from the outside in before you sweep the dirt from the inside out. This is to bring in good luck from the beginning and not push your luck out the door.

Always hang a broom by the front door for protection. Brooms will keep the bad things out and the good things in. I have a broom at every door of my home. I keep it in the corner. Always stand a broom on end with the brush facing up. This helps the wear and tear on the brush  and it’s also said to bring love from
the earth through the broomstick and given up to the heavens through the brush.

If your broom falls from your hand while you are sweeping or doing other work, make a wish before you pick it up. It’s also said that if a broom falls from it’s kept place, company is coming and it’s not good news. When you pick up your broom after something like this happens, sweep the energy out the door and bid it a due not to return again.

If you or your kin are having recurrent nightmares or night hauntings, sweep the room clockwise while stating that all that lies between here and the other world be gone and back whence you came.

Hither, hither, hither gone.
Hither, hither, hither gone
Hither, hither, thither gone
So Mote It Be.

Now stand the broom outside the bedroom door and place a piece of garlic under the bed.

Where Did All The Myths About the Besom Come From?

Where Did All The Myths About the Besom Come From?

Some authors claim that the oldest known source of witches flying on broomsticks is a manuscript called Le Champion des Dames by Martin Lefranc, 1440. This might be one of the oldest images representing a hag on a broomstick, but it is certainly not the first. A wall painting from the 12th century in Schleswig Cathedral (Germany) shows the Norse deity Frigg riding her staff.

If we really dig a bit deeper into history, we’ll find that from the Roman world there are reports that mention witches flying on broomsticks as well as having used ointments, as early as the first century. They were called Straigae (Barnowl) and the Lamiae from Greek culture had similar characteristics. Later in Roman history, the goddess Diana was the leader of the Wild Hunt:

“It is also not to be omitted that some wicked women, perverted by the Devil, seduced by illusions and phantasm of demons, believe and profess themselves in the hours of the night to ride upon certain beasts with Diana, the goddess of pagans, and an innumerable multitude of women, and in the silence of the dead of the night to traverse great spaces of earth, and to obey her commands as of their mistress, and to be summoned to her service on certain nights”.

Similar beliefs existed in many parts of Europe. From Norse mythology, we know that the army of women, lead by Odin (Wodan), called the Valkyries, was said to ride through the skies on horses, collecting the souls of the dead. In continental Germanic areas, the goddess Holda or Holle was also said to lead the Wild Hunt and is connected to chimneys and witchcraft. Berchta or Perchita, another Germanic goddess, which can be identified with Holda, has similar characteristics.

Again in Celtic Traditions, the Horned God Cernuous, and/or Herne the Hunter was leader of the Wild Hunt and the Scottish Witch Goddess Nineveh was also said to fly through the night with her followers. Eastern Europe sources also have a wealth of folklore about witches flying through the air. So flying through the air, evidently, was a deeply rooted mythological theme, associated with the free roaming of the spirit, the separation of soul and body.
