  • 11:27 am – Sun opposite Jupiter from Saturday to Wednesday brings opportunities for success, good fortune, and increased happiness. Everything will seem to fall in place without too much effort, leading you to believe you are on a lucky streak or gifted in some way. If you let any good fortune go to your head, loss, embarrassment and a lowering of self-esteem may result.

Thursday, June 13

  • 00:02 am – Moon enters Scorpio

Friday, June 14

  • 02:11 am – Mars trine Neptune from Monday to Sunday stimulates your sensuality, creativity and community spirit. You will enjoy a strong magnetic attractiveness and sultry charm which makes this an ideal time for passionate romances. Sexual encounters would be strongly compassionate, tender and spiritual in nature.
  • 11:49 am – Mars opposite Saturn from Tuesday to Sunday brings frustration, disappointment, and anger. Frustration is due to other people standing in your way. Disappointment comes from unfulfilled desires.

Saturday, June 15

  • 05:02 am – Moon enters Sagittarius

Sunday, June 16

  • 07:42 am – Mercury trine Neptune from Friday to Monday stimulates your creativity, imagination, sensitivity, and spirituality. While not such a good time for reading the fine print or studying factoids, your mind is ready to dream up fantasies or obscure theories.
  • 10:00 am – Mercury opposite Saturn from Saturday to Monday brings serious thinking and conversation, but also negativity and sadness. Poor self-esteem can lead to communication difficulties and isolation. Being alone studying or on the computer would feel more comfortable than being in social situations.
  • 11:21 am – Jupiter square Neptune all month brings a test of your faith due to an embarrassing loss of face or some disappointment. You may have been too trusting or over-idealized a romantic interest. It is important to cut your losses as soon as the reality of the situation shatters your illusion.

Mars Trine Neptune 14 June 2019

Mars trine Neptune natal makes you suave, sexy, creative, and passionate about fighting for worthy causes. You have the ability to effectively motivate people without being forceful or bossy. This ability to attract a following stems from your non-threatening approach, magnetic attractiveness and spiritual courage.

Your passionate drive and creativity are ideal for a career in music or acting and any of the physical arts. Dance, singing, and sculpture would allow you to fully express your excellent sense of rhythm and smooth style.

There is a strong tendency with this aspect to fight for the underdog, so political or social activism would appeal to you. This spiritual and moral urge to serve in a selfless manner makes you a very charitable and caring individual. There would be a natural inclination to become involved in large groups with shared spiritual or altruistic goals.

Your faith is strong but you may not necessarily be religious. Less structured and more new age forms of spiritual belief and practice would suit you, anything from astrology to vegetarianism.

Although you have a strong fighting spirit, physical aggression would be distasteful to you. But you would not back down if you, a loved one or even your cause was to be threatened. You are more likely to win any spiritual or psychic battles through acts of kindness.

A steamy sensuality makes you highly attractive and you should have no trouble attracting genuine partners. Like you, they should be honest and genuinely compassionate people. There is a certain mystique or ethereal nature to your sexuality that can make you very popular.

Mars Trine Neptune Transit

Mars trine Neptune transit stimulates your sensuality, creativity and community spirit. You will enjoy a strong magnetic attractiveness and sultry charm which makes this an ideal time for passionate romances. Sexual encounters would be strongly compassionate, tender and spiritual in nature. If dating, then you are likely to attract a less aggressive, more spiritually inclined partner.

Though not a high energy transit, you should be motivated to express your creativity and a good sense of rhythm through dance, music, sculpture and other physical creative outlets. You may also feel a strong urge to engage in religious or more spiritual activities particularly involving groups of people. This would be a good time to learn more about how astrology affects your life and the world in general. You are more in touch with the subtle vibrational energies that influence our lives.

This is not aggressive energy but you can draw on strong spiritual courage and a fighting spirit to defend yourself and loved ones. You can win battles now but more through acts of kindness than attacking others. You should feel a motivation to stand up for the underdog and downtrodden of the world. This is an excellent transit to become actively involved in charitable or human rights causes and groups. Your desire to save people and animals or the environment is based on strong moral and ethical convictions.

Solar Lore

Once, the Sun and his sister, the Moon, lived together in a wigwam in the east. The Sun dressed himself to go hunting and took his bow and arrows and left. He was absent such a long time that when his sister came out into the sky to look for her brother, she became alarmed. She traveled twenty days looking for the Sun. Finally he returned, bringing with him a bear which he had shot.

The Sun’s sister still comes up into the sky and travels for twenty days. Then she dies, and for four days nothing is seen of her. At the end of that time, however, she returns to life and travels twenty days more.

The Sky This Week from June 10 to 16

Jupiter reaches opposition and peak visibility this week. The giant planet shines brightest, looms largest, and remains visible throughout these short nights.
Monday, June 10
Brilliant Jupiter reaches opposition and peak visibility tonight. It rises in the southeast at sunset and climbs highest in the south around 1 a.m. local daylight time. Shining at magnitude –2.6, the giant planet is the night’s brightest celestial object with the exception of the waxing gibbous Moon and Venus, which doesn’t rise until morning twilight is well underway. Jupiter resides among the background stars of southern Ophiuchus the Serpent-bearer. When viewed through a telescope, the gas giant’s disk spans 46″ and shows incredible detail in its cloud tops. You’ll also see the planet’s four bright moons. Io, Europa, and Ganymede line up in that order east of Jupiter while Callisto is the lone moon west of the planet.

Tuesday, June 11
Look high in the northwest after darkness falls this week and you’ll be greeted by the familiar sight of the Big Dipper. You can use the dipper — the sky’s most conspicuous asterism, a recognizable pattern of stars that doesn’t form a complete constellation shape — to find two of the spring sky’s brightest stars. If you follow the curve of the handle to the south, you’ll easily spot Arcturus. This magnitude 0.0 star, which belongs to Boötes the Herdsman, lies some 30° from the end of the Big Dipper’s handle. It is the fourth-brightest star in the whole sky and the second- brightest visible from mid-northern latitudes. And if you continue the curve another 30° past Arcturus, you’ll arrive at magnitude 1.0 Spica, the luminary of Virgo the Maiden. An easy way to remember the two is with the phrase: “Follow the arc to Arcturus, then drive a spike to Spica.”

Jupiter’s moons put on a show tonight, as both Io and Ganymede cross the planet’s disk. With the gas giant just a day past opposition, however, the shadow that each satellite casts falls onto the jovian cloud tops almost directly beneath the moon. Io’s transit begins at 10:22 p.m. EDT. Within five minutes, you should notice its shadow immediately to the moon’s east, with the two overlapping. Ganymede lies north of Io and begins to transit at 11:28 p.m. Its shadow falls on the cloud tops just southeast of the moon. Because Ganymede lies farther from Jupiter than Io, its shadow appears slightly more separated from the moon. Io completes its transit at 12:33 a.m., when Ganymede is about halfway across the giant planet’s disk. The outer moon completes its trek around 1:40 a.m.

Wednesday, June 12
Once you use the Big Dipper to find Arcturus, you’re well on the way to locating the 9th-magnitude asteroid 2 Pallas. From Arcturus, move 6.4° west-northwest to 5th-magnitude 6 Boötis, then another 2.4° northwest to 6th-magnitude 2 Boo. Tonight, Pallas lies 3.0° west-northwest of 2 Boo and right next to a 9th-magnitude field star. If you watch these two for a couple of hours, you’ll notice Pallas shifting position, confirming its identity as a solar system member.

Thursday, June 13
For people who live near 35° north latitude, today marks the earliest sunrise of the year. Although the Northern Hemisphere’s longest day doesn’t occur until Earth’s summer solstice June 21, earliest sunrise happens several days before and latest sunset several days after. The specific dates depend on your latitude, however. In general, earliest sunrise occurs closer to the solstice the farther north you live.

Friday, June 14
Grab your binoculars tonight and target the bright star Regulus in the constellation Leo the Lion. Many people know that this object represents the Lion’s heart, but few realize it also is a binocular double. Regulus B, which glows at 8th magnitude, shows up as a pinpoint nearly 3′ from the 1st-magnitude primary. The pair stands about 20° high in the west once darkness falls.

Saturday, June 15
Although Saturn won’t reach opposition and peak visibility until next month, observers will be hard-pressed to see its current appearance as inferior. The ringed planet rises around 10 p.m. local daylight time and appears highest in the south around 3 a.m. Saturn shines at magnitude 0.2 and stands out against the background stars of northern Sagittarius. If you target the beautiful world through a telescope, you’ll see its 18″-diameter disk surrounded by a ring system that spans 41″ and tilts 24° to our line of sight.

Sunday, June 16
Full Moon officially arrives at 4:31 a.m. EDT tomorrow morning, but it looks completely illuminated all night. It appears low in the southeast as the Sun sets and climbs highest in the south around 1 a.m. local daylight time. The Full Moon resides among the background stars of southeastern Ophiuchus, though residents in western North America will see it slide into western Sagittarius by daybreak. You can expect a lot of people to ask what that bright object sitting next to the Moon is. Brilliant Jupiter lies just 5° from the Moon after sundown and a couple of degrees farther away by daybreak.

Current Moon Phase for Monday, June 10th

First Quarter
Illumination: 53%

The Moon today is in a First Quarter phase. This phase occurs roughly 7 days after the New Moon when the earth is one quarter of the way through its orbit around the earth. Exactly half the moon will be illuminated and half dark. On the day of the First Quarter phase the moon is high overhead at sunset and is visible until mid-night when it sets in the west. The First Quarter phase is a one day event and in the following days enters a Waxing Gibbous phase becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon.

**********
About The First Quarter Moon Phase

The first quarter moon is actually the third phase of the moon each cycle. In the Northern Hemisphere during this phase, the right hand 50% of the moon is visible during the afternoon and the early part of the night. In the Southern Hemisphere the left hand 50% of the moon can be seen. This lunar phase follows the new moon and the waxing crescent.

A lunar phase is the appearance of an illuminated portion of the moon as seen by an observer. For this article the observer is always on Earth. The lunar phases vary in a definite cycle as the moon orbits the Earth. The phases change based on the changing relative positions of the Earth, moon, and Sun. Half of the moon’s surface is always illuminated by the Sun, but the portion of the illuminated hemisphere that is visible to an observer can vary from 100%(full moon) to 0%(new moon). The only exception is during a lunar eclipse. The boundary between the light and dark portions of the moon is called the terminator.

There are 8 moon phases. These phases are: new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter moon, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter moon, and waning crescent. The phases progress in the same manner each month. Earlier, it was mentioned that the lunar phase depends on the position of the Earth, moon, and Sun. During the new moon the Earth and Sun are on the opposite side of the moon. During the full moon the Earth and Sun are on the same sides of the Moon. The occasions when the Earth, Sun, and moon are in a straight line(new and full moon) are called syzygies.

When the moon passes between Earth and the Sun during a new moon, you might think that its shadow would cause a solar eclipse. On the other hand, you might think that during a full moon the Earth’s shadow would cause a lunar eclipse. The plane of the moon’s orbit around the Earth is tilted by about five degrees compared to the plane of Earth’s orbit around the Sun(called the ecliptic plane). This tilt prevents monthly eclipses. An eclipse can only occur when the moon is either new or full, but it also has to be positioned near the intersection of the Earth’s orbital plane about the Sun and the Moon’s orbit plane about the Earth, so there are between four and seven eclipses in a calendar year.

The first quarter moon is only one of eight lunar phases. You should research them all for a better understanding of the Earth/Moon system.

Monday’s Witchery

Think for a moment on all of the witchery, magick and enchantments that you have discovered. Don’t be afraid to adjust spells to suit your own specific needs. Any gentle, illusory, and dreamy charms and spells can be enhanced when you work on the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon. Mondays are a fantastic day to boost your psychic abilities and to tune in to your intuition and empathy. It also gives you the opportunity to work with a different lunar phase each and every Monday, which means in one month you could work four different types of moon magicks on Mondays. How’s that for adding to your repertoire? You are going to have mad skills in no time at all.

So light up those lunar scented candles and add a little mystique to your outfit by wearing an enchanting lunar color. Wear your sparkling silver jewelry and maybe add a pair of dangling silver earrings or a pendant shaped like a crescent moon. Create lunar potions and philters; make a dream catcher and give it as a gift to someone you love. Burn some sandalwood or jasmine-scented incense today to inspire the glamour and magick of the moon. Slice up a favorite variety of fruit that is in season for a snack or share it with your love and enjoy his or her lunar and romantic qualities. Brew up a cup of chamomile tea, enchant it with a little moon magick, and relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Most importantly, get outside tonight and watch the moon for a while. What phase is she in? What color was the moon as she rose? Why not start a journal and write down at what location the moon rises and sets for a few seasons? This is a great way to teach you to tune in and to become more aware of the moon and the influence that she pulls into our lives. Try calling on Selene for her magickal assistance, and call Thoth for wisdom and strength. Get to know the Norse Mani and the Latvian Meness. These gods of the moon have plenty to teach, and if you allow their influence to cycle through your life, you’ll receive many blessings. Be imaginative, and create your own personal lunar magick and witchery. Go on….the moonlight becomes you.

The Witches Magick for Monday, June 10th

MONEY RITUAL FOR PROSPERITY IN LIFE

This isn’t some “get-rich-quick” spell.

You will need:
Green candle

Bay Leaves

Plain white piece of paper

I usually have some other candles around and sometimes will also use some of the essential oils that I know draw in money. Think of the amount of money that is needed, not what is wanted. Asking for a million dollars is absolutely ridiculous to say the least. Write down the amount that you know you need to help you achieve your goals (paying bills, paying for college, camp fees, whatever) on the plain, white piece of paper. Fold the paper in half three times.

After getting a connection with your goddess, light your green candle. Use your own incantation to ask the
Goddess for her help and guidance to find the money that you need. Place the paper under the candle. Now close your eyes and see money coming to you. Don’t think of how it comes, just see it come. See it appear in your hand or maybe imagine it flying around you like in those money booth games and see yourself snatching it out of the air. While doing this, I burn a bay leaf in the candles flame. Inhale the fragrance emitted by the bay leaf. If you have money-drawing oils, then a few drops on the sides of the candle can be placed as you give thanks to the Goddess for listening to you.

Close as you feel appropriate. Leave it all set up when you finish if you are able and repeat. Start it on the new moon and repeat several times until the full moon. At this point, burn the paper and spread it’s ashes to the wind.

Your Spirit Message of the Day for June 10th – Summon Strength for Change

THE PHOENIX
“The Phoenix appears as your Ally to celebrate your journey and to ensure your ultimate success. This is true even if it appears that you’ve just passed through a metaphorical experience of death or are currently enduring a perception of failure in your life. Death and rebirth are related when you enter the realm of the Phoenix. Seen in this light, nothing truly dies, but rather changes from one ending directly into new beginnings. The Phoenix is constantly reinventing itself and rises up whole and new and even more powerful with every death it experiences. This could signal an end of a relationship – or of a dynamic within one – or an end of a job, a project, or even a life.”

“Perhaps no failure is involved, but it’s time for a complete overhaul of your circumstances. You may be tired of what you’re doing, or you may know intuitively that it’s time to move on and try something new. Whatever the case, a death of the old and a celebration of new life are called for! Whatever you do now will indeed be a successful endeavor, for a rebirth is imminent!”

AS A CHALLENGER
“When the Phoenix challenges you,, it’s really just a gentle reminder to let go and let what doesn’t work fall away. Maybe you’re not allowing things to change because you’re more comfortable with the familiar, even if you know it’s not the best you could create for yourself. Fear of change is a crippling experience, as it works against Nature itself.”

MESSAGE FOR YOU
“The task at hand is to allow for an ending, as it’s timely and right that you do so for the highest good of all. In surrendering to the fundamental purposeful change, you will most definitely find yourself in better circumstances. The action needed is allowing. A rebirth is assured.” Summon strength and courage and embrace inevitable change.

Today’s message is from Wisdom of the Hidden Realms by Colette Baron-Reid.
