It’s Monday Again! Make It A Good One, Dear Friends!

To My Kindred Spirit

by Todd-Michael St. Pierre

We share secrets, we laugh and even cry,

We have so much in common,

Concerns, likes and dislikes.

Ours is a relationship joined by

Tender velvet chains that link our

similar dreams of life and love.

A gentle intuition guides us in our

individual struggles to succeed

at the things we pursue, to stand

out from the crowd.

In you I have found so much of myself,

Including many of the same

Insecurities and philosophies.

Complete inner-peace and happiness,

These are the things I wish for you,

in the present and in the future

because you are my kindred spirit.

You

by the Whyte Bard

You are a child of the goddess, a daughter or a son of the god, and you are here in joy. Live your life to its fullest, taking the good with the bad and learning from each.

Enjoy love, giving yourself to your lover as you will, but not so much that you lose your Self, and take that which is given by your lover, but not so much as to empty them of Selfhood.

You are both individuals who are walking together, side by side, in equal partnership, and if your paths should seperate, then so be it. Seperate in joy, not hate.

Love. Love life, love your fellow humans, and love our Brothers and Sisters in fur, feather and scale. Love your Mother Earth. We are caretakers of this planet; this is our Home.

Work. Do not live from the bounty of others, but live of your own, as an independent member of the whole. If you must take charity, take it in good grace, and return what you have been loaned therefrom when you can, be it in kind, or by whatever means you have.

Give. Give to those in need, and to those that hunger or thirst. Give not to inflate yourself, and to show others your magniminity, but give from a love for your fellow humans. Give of your substance, but more importantly, give a helping hand, that the person helped may support themselves, free from obligation.

Teach. Teach your children and teach others, not by words, for words can twist and lie, but by your own example. Teach kindness, and Understanding, and Joy, but most of all, teach Love. If you must discipline your children, discipline in love, not anger.

Think. Think before you speak. Think before you act. Consider your words and actions, and the effect they will have on others.

Learn. Learn from all, for even a fool may speak wisdom unknowingly. Most of all, learn thru the wide eyes of a child, seeing for the first time.

Ask. If you do not know, ask. If you are unsure, ask. If you are sure …ask again.

Speak the Truth. Live the Truth. Love the Truth. Seek after the Truth.

Harm none. Love all. For it is written, and it is undoubtly so, that what you have done to the least and smallest, you have done to the deity.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day July 17

Elder’s Meditation of the Day July 17

“My friends, how desperately do we need to be loved and to love.”

–Chief Dan George, SKOKOMISH

Oh my great Creator: Help me this day to love myself. I can’t give away anything that I don’t have myself. If I am to love others, then I must love myself. If I am to forgive others, then I am to forgive myself. If I am to accept others as they are then I need to accept myself as I am. If I am to not judge others, then I need to lighten up on myself. Let me experience this power of love…

My Creator, today I will love myself so I can love my neighbor. I will look at each person today and see Your light within them. If I do this, I will hold my brothers and sisters without guilt.

Daily Motivator for July 10 – Peaceful awareness

Peaceful awareness

Open your awareness to the abundance. Open your awareness to the goodness and  the possibilities.

Life is renewed in every moment. There is no need to keep re-fighting the  battles of the past.

Relax, and let the fears dissolve. Be at peace, and allow the abundance to  flow through you.

Send all your energy into all you love. Now is when opportunity is  transformed into beautiful value.

Focus on what is good, what is right, what is true and meaningful. Give the  whole of your presence to the best you can envision.

Let the richness into your awareness and into your life. Enjoy and love and  live and create with no hesitation, free of worry and doubt.

Brighid Invocation

Brighid Invocation

by Mystic Amazon

There you are, Goddess,

With your streaming flame-red hair!

I hear the hammer of your smithy,

And the eloquent words of your poetry

Satisfy something in my soul.

I hear the chants of women

The priestesses of your sacred flame,

See smoke that carries your prophecies.

Artists, poets and musicians honor you

With the beauty of their work.

Holy Mother Brighid, Bless us!

Honor us with your shining presence,

Wash us in the waters of your healing wells.

Brigantia the warrior, give us courage!

We dance to the movement of your flames.

Heartwings Love Notes 347: The Goodness of Friends

Heartwings Love Notes 347: The Goodness of Friends

Heartwings says, “It is wonderful to have a good friend, and even better to have more than one.”

On Sunday Stephen and I slept late, had a nice brunch and prepared ourselves for a relaxed creative day. Then the clanking began again. The noises had gone on occasionally for the past week or so, once or twice waking Stephen up. We couldn’t figure out what they were, and they seemed to be getting worse.

From the basement where I had gone to investigate I heard Stephen calling. I rushed upstairs and into the sunroom. With three large windows and a slider, that room is often cold. That morning I discovered that several of my plants had frozen in the night. There was more to come. Water was flooding from the baseboard. We fetched a bucket and bailed to no avail.

Water poured on out. The rug was already soaked. I called a friend who had helped us get settled and knew the heating system to help me shut off the water to that room. It took time but we finally did. I opened the door to the garage. Water had come out of the broken pipes long enough to have soaked much of the garage ceiling. Water and plaster rained down on the car.

A second friend came and helped us by pulling most of the sheetrock down and carrying it away. He also brought over a large fan and a dehumidifier to help dry out the rug. His wife called their heating technician who came over today and now the pipes are fixed and the heat is back on in that room.

Even though the whole experience was quite traumatic, Stephen and I are extremely grateful for the way it all worked out. First, if it hadn’t snowed we would have been gone all that afternoon. Then if it hadn’t been for the help of our friends I don’t know what we would have done or how we could have managed. What a blessing it is to have friends and how grateful we are.

May you be given whatever help you need whenever you need it.

Blessings and Best Regards, Tasha Halpert

Great Lady Brid, Goddess of Eire

Great Lady Brid, Goddess of Eire

by Darrion

Goddess of smith-craft, gift us with the joyful sound of the hammer and anvil as the craftsman hammers on the metal heated in the forge of Your hearth and heart, warm us in this cold and dark time period with Your love and creative spirit.

Goddess of healing, gift us with Your gentleness, wisdom and love for all who seek Your healing energy, allow us to tap that well of intuition, spirit and knowledge; as we open our hearts to assist others on their healing journeys, guide our hands and hearts.

Goddess of poetry, gift us with Your lightheartedness and playful spirit, grant us with that creative spark, open our vision so we may be aware of and use this energy to tap the wealth of our inner awareness, and allow me the strength to step aside and allow You
to guide my pen.

Goddess of fertility, gift us with the strength of the union of Goddess and God, take the firmness of the God and bury it deeply in the mound of the hill of Tara, fertilizing the earth and preparing her for the planting season to come.

Goddess of inner vision, prophecy and divination, gift us with that inner gaze and awareness, so that we may devote ourselves to unending service in joy and love to serve the Great Mother,
clan and tribe.

Daily OM for June 2 – Composing Bliss

 Composing Bliss
Poetry as Meditation

Sculpting your thoughts into a poem can take you on a journey where your conscious mind is momentarily cast adrift.
The creation of any kind of art can be as much a form of meditation as a vehicle for self-expression. Energetically splashing colors of paint onto a canvas can be like casting the weight of the world off your shoulders, while raising your voice to hit the high notes of a song can inspire you to release your fears so you can reach new heights in your own life. And then there is the act of meditation that can take place when you create poetry. Sculpting your thoughts and emotions into a poem can take you on a journey into your inner universe where your conscious mind is momentarily cast adrift.

Like other forms of meditation, writing poetry requires that you stay fully present during the process, rather than focusing on any outcome. In doing so, you release any inhibitions or ideas of “what needs to happen,” so that your thoughts can flow freely through you. When you write poetry, you are able to see the reflections of your innermost self imprinted on a page.

If you’d like to experience poetry as a meditation practice, you might want to try this exercise: Set aside twenty minutes where you can be alone in a quiet space. You may want to look at poems other people have written to see if there is a style of poetry you would like to try. You can also try writing in freeform. The structure of the poem will then organically reveal itself to you. When you are ready, sit down with pen and paper and let the words flow. Don’t think about what you are going to say next, and don’t worry about spelling, grammar, or logic. Instead, be as descriptive, visually precise, rhythmic, or lyrical as you want to be. When you feel complete, put the pen down, and read over what you’ve written. Appreciate this work of art you have created. You may even find that thoughts and emotions you had repressed before are now making themselves known so you can process and release them. Writing poetry as a form of meditation lets you slow down your mind long enough for you to get out of your own way, so that your soul can freely express its deepest yearnings.

10 Feng Shui Tips for Increasing Love and Romance

10 Feng Shui Tips for Increasing Love and Romance

Prep your home for passion

by Stephanie Dempsey

Feng Shui practitioners believe that the best way to attract love is to adjust your environment accordingly. Dingy surroundings, piles of clutter, and self-absorbed artwork can actually drive Cupid from your door. Here, then, are 10 simple tips for finding your perfect mate… or for increasing the passion in your long-term relationship or marriage.

Create Cozy Seating Arrangements
Single chairs send a loud and clear message to prospective suitors and spouses: Back off! If you’re looking for love, create cozy seating arrangements from love seats, sofas, and chairs. Putting chairs at comfortable angles to each other will signal that you’re ready to welcome a relationship.

Replace Images of Lone Figures with Pictures of Happy Couples
Artwork has a tremendous impact on the subconscious. When you surround yourself with photos, paintings, sculptures, and knickknacks of solitary figures, you’ll carry yourself accordingly. Replacing such images with representations of happy couples will make you more receptive to love.

Keep the Television Out of the Bedroom
Nothing kills romance like the drone of late night television. If you have trouble falling asleep, try unwinding by reading love poetry or romantic novels. Your subconscious will shift accordingly, making you a virtual love magnet.

Treat Yourself to Sensual Bedding
That old ratty pillow from college and those serviceable sheets aren’t doing your sex life any favors. Go ahead and splurge on pillows, blankets, and sheets that invite you to linger in bed.

Downsize from a King to a Queen
Sleeping on a huge mattress won’t encourage intimacy. Invest in a comfortable queen-sized bed if you’d like to cultivate more love in your life. If you simply can’t make the switch, make sure to sleep on patterned sheets to add some zest to your sex life.

Make Space for Each Other
Avoid making your partner feel crowded out by your possessions by reducing your personal clutter in shared areas of your home, closets, drawers, etc. When you demonstrate you are willing to share your physical space generously with your partner, the space in your hearts can open up, too.

Pull Your Bed away from the Wall
Pushing your bed against the wall effectively crowds out any chance for love to expand in your life. Arrange your bed so that it has enough space to walk on either side. Before you know it, you’ll be cuddling close with your special someone, instead of hugging your pillow for comfort as if you were alone.

Make Your “Gua” a Shrine to Love
Using the front door of your home as a reference point, the far right corner of your home represents relationships and is known as the “Relationship Gua” in Feng Shui. Therefore, you need to keep this area intimate and inviting. A love seat illuminated with adjustable lighting is ideal for this special spot.

Keep the Family at Bay
Your bedroom represents your romantic life. Therefore, the last images you want to see here are photos of dear old Mom and Dad. Children’s artwork and toys will also undermine your sex life. Celebrate these relationships in other areas of your household, but keep your boudoir a private retreat.

Think Pink!
Warm colors like pink and red can enliven your love life considerably. Soft shades like rose, salmon, and coral can attract a gentle partner who is attentive to your needs, while bold colors like scarlet, crimson, and burgundy will draw a passionate adventurer to your side.
