Herb of the Day for 3/31 is Nutgrass
Herb of the Day
Nutgrass
(Cyperus rotundas), “musta,” is a common weed used to alleviate menstrual disorders and irregularity. It is not recommended if constipation simultaneously occurs. To make a tea, steep one teaspoon of dried and powdered nutgrass in half a cup of boiled water for ten minutes before drinking. It may be repeated on or two times daily until menstrual pain abates. Then, discontinue.
